I wonder as I wander: I'd like to throw puriety against the wall

I wonder as I wander. Friday, November 25, 2011. I'd like to throw puriety against the wall. I don't even know where to start with the wrongness of this. Http:/ www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif. Christian singer Rebecca St. James was asked about how her recent marriage has impacted her stance on purity. The YouTube video is her response. My response to her response: Seriously? Because no marriage between two virgins has ever. So they'd have less faith in the wedding vows? Ugh What mattered to me when I got ...

I wonder as I wander: January 2012
http://wonderingwanderingthoughts.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
I wonder as I wander. Sunday, January 15, 2012. For once, a non-religious post. The "perils" of being newly married, and in a new job (both which are very good things), means that one has a lot less time to read and analyze religious topics. 2) My husband and I started watching "Modern Family." Funny and enjoyable. 3) I still feel like I'm a high-schooler pretending to be a grown-up anytime I say "my husband." And I'm 30 years old. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). For once, a non-religious post. A time to rend.

I wonder as I wander: February 2010
http://wonderingwanderingthoughts.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
I wonder as I wander. Friday, February 19, 2010. Note - I had hesitations in making this commentary, given the subject nature of rape. I believe I would have refrained, had it not been for the idea presented of wanting everyone to come to know and believe in the God who had not abandoned the victim. However, in reading commentary on the story, one of the things that I'm getting confused over is the idea people want other people to know of this same God who loves and never abandoned the woman who was raped.

I wonder as I wander: I was a monster at eight.
http://wonderingwanderingthoughts.blogspot.com/2012/03/i-was-monster-at-eight.html
I wonder as I wander. Saturday, March 31, 2012. I was a monster at eight. I see a lot of Christians justifying their faith and knowledge in Jesus by saying that they aren't who they used to be. Now they're a much better person, and the evidence of being this new person is a way that they know Jesus is real. These are the same Christians who say they were saved at a young age, anywhere between the ages of five through eight. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I was a monster at eight. Seek the Light .

I wonder as I wander: June 2010
http://wonderingwanderingthoughts.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
I wonder as I wander. Friday, June 18, 2010. Empericism vs. emotion. A well-known Christian recently announced she was pregnant. She also explained how surprising that was, given that she and her husband were told it was unlikely they could ever conceive naturally. The reason why they have their first two children is because of fertility treatments. But she went on to mention that the reason why the pregnancy occurred was because "with God, all things are possible." And then used the pregnancy to enc...

I wonder as I wander: May 2012
http://wonderingwanderingthoughts.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
I wonder as I wander. Sunday, May 13, 2012. Anger to the left of me, rage to the right of me . With the current political climate of the United States, I find myself struggling with rage on an almost daily basis. The economy is horrible - jobs simply aren't there. Unemployment has let thousands barely keep their head above water, and yet the standard conservative line is that these people are just lazy and need to go get jobs. Healthcare costs skyrocketing. Teachers are the favorite scapegoats . And this...

I am publishing this as is. All errors result from a choice to write freely. A friend bemoaned the. The last phrase is particularly apt at the moment for me, though it has nothing to do with Williams’ death. And running alongside the shock on my Twitter feed is the abhorrently less shocking news: kids who can’t get home be...

Roadie Dreams and Stranger Things, or Insights from a Curvilinear Mind. Newer posts →. Conceptualizing Groupies, Bad Boys, Wonderbread and Water Sports. August 9, 2014. In theory, I am writing a chapter proposal on Bad Girls this weekend. Whether or not this will come to fruition is a question that will best be answered on Monday. When the proposal is due.
