A while ago, my friend Anne sent me some information about a workshop through Royal Roads to learn how to tap Big Leaf Maple Trees. This was a totally random topic for me, but I figured hey why not? I told Aaron about it and he was curious so he decided to come to. The farm was in Ladysmith, and only about 10 minutes from our house. Who knew? And this little seeds makes that Big Leaf Maple Tree.

The Life of Tasha-Lynne. Just random happenings in life. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. A Reflection of 2013. Well it has been quite a year! Some very high highs and low lows for us. On Christmas day 2012, after 10 years together my Dad and Stepmom finally met Aaron's family! We had Dad, Elizabeth, Aaron's Mom Pat, brother Matt, and Dad Richard over to our new home for Christmas dinner. In February I bought a new car, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. This was a great decision, and I have been very pleased with it.

The Life of Tasha-Lynne. Just random happenings in life. Thursday, August 20, 2015. Road trip with Grams to Grand Forks, BC. Grams and I have been planning this trip for a very long time! Finally the time has come for our trip to Grand Forks, the birthplace of my Gramps and my Canadian Doukhobor roots. This place has been calling to me for a long time, and I am so happy we could make this trip together. We made a couple stops in Langley to see Grams friend Lorraine, Great Uncle Roger, and cousin Bev.

This amazing group of people have really added to our life, and we have really been grateful for how they have included us and given us such a sense of belonging. I went to Coastal Black Winery with Jess, her hubby Dave, and little guy Finley and we had a blast soaking up the sunshine and taking in the beauty of fall. On my way up to Campbell River I saw this fella fishing and had to stop to take a picture. Eventually he noticed I was taking his picture and started to row away. It's been a while.

Then I pulled myself together and we went to Aaron's going away party. I will admit I was in a state of shock for the next few hours afterward. It's just starting to hit me now. I'M ENGAGED! Everyone has been very excited for us, and we are thrilled. We are looking at wedding in August 2014. Now the wedding planning begins! It's been a while.

The loss of a family members comes with reflection of good memories and time spent together. Here are a few pictures I have taken over the last 10 years with Gramps in them. Trip to Newcastle Island 2005. The year our Remembrance Day tradition began. Grams and Gramps anniversary party in Port Alberni 2007. This Remembrance Day stands out because it snowed.
