The Life of Tasha-Lynne. Just random happenings in life. Saturday, October 25, 2014. Pumpkin Fest at Coastal Black. I was much in needed of some quality time with my nephews. These boys fill my heart with so much love, and just being around them lifts my spirit. Kane just turned 7 years old, and I got to go up for his birthday party. I can't believe he is already 7! The following day I got to have some Auntie time, and took Kane and Kole to Pumpkin Fest at Coastal Black. We did the hay ride.

Finally the time has come for our trip to Grand Forks, the birthplace of my Gramps and my Canadian Doukhobor roots. This place has been calling to me for a long time, and I am so happy we could make this trip together. We made a couple stops in Langley to see Grams friend Lorraine, Great Uncle Roger, and cousin Bev.

For a few years now I have made it my annual tradition to go visit my Grams and Gramps in port Alberni on Remembrance Day, The last couple of years I have had the honour of taking my Gramps to the Remembrance Day ceremonies. After the main ceremony we headed to the Quay where there is a memorial for the Merchant Navy, which my Gramps was a part of. Here are some pictures from our time there. The Merchant Navy flag.
