The Scholes Abode: April 2015
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
And so it begins. Boxes are slowly starting to take over the hallway. It is taking me a lot longer to pack everything than usual, though I am not sure why. I just can't seem to get the motivation to keep up the steam of packing. But since we only have about 2 weeks until we move, I really do need to get these things taken care of. Yays and Nays: April Edition. This week's edition of "yays and nays" is brought to you by the letter "C". As in; crazy, cookies, cars and crabgrass. I have had a lot of pretty ...

The Scholes Abode: May 2014
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Today I went grocery shopping. Twice (Because I forget things). Saw adorable (super adorable) puppies. Took a walk with my love. And saw the movie Non-Stop (also with my love). Not a terribly busy day, but nice. Last night, Bruce and I went to the drive-in to see "Maleficent". When we arrived at the theater, there was already a queue of cars waiting for the moment they would be allowed entrance, so we lined up behind them and waited. Anyway.) and let me play it while we waited. I am renting a dress for t...

The Scholes Abode: October 2014
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Even though I am sick, Bruce and I maintained our tradition of watching "Arsenic and Old Lace" for Halloween. If you have never seen it, you really should. It is a classic! And is super funny to boot! Well, the blog transition has been completed (clearly), so if you're reading this, welcome to our new home! I am playing hooky from work, though can it really be hooky if I'm actually sick and lying on the couch slipping in and out of consciousness? The funny version goes something like this:. Hopefully we'...

The Scholes Abode: June 2014
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Bruce and I got a bit of a shock today when we kissed. No, really.we literally shocked each others lips. It hurt a little, but made us both laugh. Never knew that could happen. We had a few bouts of torrential rain today. It was kind of awesome listening to it and the thunder, and even better running through it this afternoon. Rain is good for the soul. What is your verdict? I got my first-ever jury summons the other day. With this aspect of things anyway. We used lemons as part of our wedding decor.

The Scholes Abode: February 2015
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
I am finally in my final term for school. If I had been as diligent as I should have been, I would have graduated about a year ago, but someone got lazy and distracted and terribly behind. That would be ME. I am working through my courses, praying that I can get everything done that I need to, while also working full-time, serving in a fairly demanding church calling and another minor calling, trying to keep a clean house, and staying on top of all the other commitments that I have. My brain is tired.

The Scholes Abode: September 2014
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
I got a surprise yesterday when the doorbell rang at around 5:45pm. Bruce is gone on Mondays at school until about 9:00pm, so this was clearly either someone for me, or someone who doesn't know Bruce's schedule. I hurried to the door, and upon opening it, I saw.Bruce! His last class was cancelled due to a family emergency for the professor, and he came home early to surprise me. At which he was successful. I highly recommend if you are adventurous with your pizza. We said our hellos, got our yogurt, and ...

The Scholes Abode: Alaska!
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2015/04/alaska.html
Bruce and I took a trip to Alaska over his spring break at the end of March. It was actually a spur of the moment decision that we made one night in February, and ended up buying tickets that very night. We were able to stay with Bruce's sister and her husband at their home in Anchorage. It was fun getting to know them better, since they have lived in Alaska for as long as I have known my hubby, which doesn't allow for a ton of "getting to know you" time. Bruce and I were able to hike a glacier. Ashley a...

The Scholes Abode: December 2014
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
No Cheeses For Us Meeces. We have been pretty well devoid of snow this winter, which frankly, I am more than fine with. Except that I have come to enjoy having white Christmases over the recent years, and it was weird knowing that we wouldn't have snow this year. Well, apparently Mother Nature got the memo, because it started snowing a couple hours ago, and we now have a delightful dusting of the white fluffy stuff all over everything. We are undoubtedly prepared for Christmas around here! So now that we...

The Scholes Abode: Farewell
http://nathanlisascholes.blogspot.com/2015/05/farewell.html
Tonight one of my dear friends hosted a small "Going Away" party for Bruce and I with some of our friends. It was nice to sit and chat with these people that I have come to know and love so much, and hopefully, we will stay in contact, this is, after all, the digital age, and there is a myriad of ways to stay connected, so there is hope! Even though we have only been here a year, it has felt like home, and it will be sad to leave. Hopefully we can meet some wonderful new friends where we are going too.
