Better With Garlic - A Food Blog: Peach Pie
http://betterwithgarlic.blogspot.com/2014/09/peach-pie.html
Tuesday, September 09, 2014. Summer isn't quite over yet. Sure, the leaves are falling off of the trees, kids are back in school, and the unofficial end of summer has passed, but it's going to be 90 on Saturday here in Portland, so no, summer isn't over yet. And summer means pie. Today and tomorrow will be my last two summer pie recipes. For this summer. Probably. And pies, if you want to just do everything Deb did), and bake. Plus I made a lattice top for the first time ever. Makes 1 9” pie. Halve and p...

Better With Garlic - A Food Blog: March 2014
http://betterwithgarlic.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Sweet Potato Blintzes with Farmer's Cheese. My son is officially in toddlerdom, especially when it comes to meal time. Things that were once beloved now are given to the dog or belong to the floor (which then goes to the dog). Sometimes within one meal a food goes from being bad to good to bad again (mac and cheese is not a floor food! It’s hard, especially when you worked hard on something, but it’s all worth the effort in turning my child into a foodie. 2 large egg yolks.

Saturday, July 26, 2014. There are so many wonderful things to do with raspberries ( cake. But summer really is about pies. Better With Garlic - A Food Blog: Cherry Pie
http://betterwithgarlic.blogspot.com/2012/08/cherry-pie.html
Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Rainier cherries are one of my favorite summer fruits. I really wanted to turn them into a pie, but most recipes require sour cherries. That’s fine for some, but I wanted to use these bad boys, so I scoured my cookbooks and not surprisingly, I found a lot of cherry pie recipes. Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc at Home. Was the winner in using sweet cherries. He recommends Bings. I say Rainiers if you can get them. They rock just that much more. Which I have used as pie dough here. Divid...

Simply Cooked: Parsley and Walnut Pesto
http://simplycooked.blogspot.com/2015/05/parsley-and-walnut-pesto.html
How to Eat Grain-Free. Saturday, May 2, 2015. Parsley and Walnut Pesto. I wrote about how hard I find it to use up those little packs of herbs when I buy them. I usually purchse them for one specific recipe and somehow forget to use the rest. One solution is to make herbs into a salad with goat's cheese. Making pesto is as easy as throwing items into a food processor. It tastes incredible over meat, fish, (veggie) pasta, and as a dip for veggies. It's like spring in a jar! Parsley and Walnut Pesto. And s...

Better With Garlic - A Food Blog: Raspberry Buttermilk Cake
http://betterwithgarlic.blogspot.com/2010/07/raspberry-buttermilk-cake.html
Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Once upon a time, there was a girl who had amazing friends who brought her yummy deliciousness just because they were visiting. And then she turned that deliciousness into even more deliciousness and spread the happy food love around. Had been getting on me to make this out of this world raspberry buttermilk cake. Not only that, when I was in Juneau, her mom told me that if I hadn't made it yet, I had to. I said I would when I got home and lo and behold, raspberries! 1 c flour (...

Sesame Broccoli Salad Recipe – Eating Out Loud!
http://www.eatingoutloud.com/2010/04/sesame-broccoli-salad-recipe.html
Cooking & Baking. Sesame Broccoli Salad Recipe. This past week of school turned out to be much more mellow than expected. I had most of my nights free from studying so I was able to spend some much-needed time in the kitchen. When classes started in February, I made the decision to eat healthier. Each day I start out by having probiotic yogurt and fruit. For lunch, I pack a small cucumber sandwich smeared with low-fat cream cheese along with a generous portion of raw veggies and more fruit. The salad is ...
