http://acookwithaview.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

A Cook With A View. Cooking from the Heart to Feed the Soul. Monday, October 24, 2011. A Season of Change. Have to say that of all the seasons, Fall is my favorite. Could it be that the heat of Summer is over and the humidity is finally breaking? The nights becoming crisp and my favorite sweaters pulled on to ward off the chill. Maybe its the long walks, scattering a path amongst the crimson, burnt orange and golden leaves with my comfortable, old boots. A Cook With A View. Links to this post. Wading thr...

A Cook With A View. Cooking from the Heart to Feed the Soul. Monday, January 2, 2012. Warming a Chill with Food and Friends. E've been fortunate with a mild Winter, here in the Northeast. Today was a "balmy" 50, but the next two days we're to receive a reminder of what season we're in with a blast from the frozen north. So, with that in mind I've summoned together what onion varieties I have and made a nice pot of Onion Soup to serve to friends, warm the house and feed my soul. 2 Tbl Butter, unsalted.

A Cook With A View. Cooking from the Heart to Feed the Soul. Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Corn, Off the Cob and Into the Bowl. Ot August memories of driving with my parents in that same Ford Country Squire station wagon to The Corn Palace to get the freshest ears that were picked that morning. My sister and I squabbling about something and my mother's red, laquered fingernails reaching to separate the two of us from the front seat, while my father bellowed, "You don't want me to stop this car do you?

And has serveral books that I continue to use and recommend to friends and students for their illumination. Wine, and then blended and frozen in an ice cream maker. Maybe making and sharing this recipe with your friends, family, loved ones, or all of the above, will continue that smile from David and the unknown encouragement that he gave me so many years ago. 2 cups Rosé Wine. A Cook With A View. Cooking from the Heart to Feed the Soul. Thursday, July 28, 2011. Somehow you always find room. But, my main purpose was to see what produce she had to offer. The most beautiful heirloom cherry tomatoes beckoned, along with some fresh cries from gorgeous green beans. And then, in came Doreen's son with a bushel of sweet corn just picked. Well, how could I resist that? Never The supper question was solved. Something easy, fresh, local and alright, alright.healthy. 2 Eggs, large. Hen be...

A Cook Walks Into A Bar | A drinker with a cooking problem…

A Cook Walks Into A Bar. April 18, 2012 · 2:34 PM. Last month, I spent a few days at my parents’ house in Laredo, Texas. It was such a treat. My folks got to see my changing pregnant body in person and I got a little spoiled. I got plenty of attention, and had a couple of generous escorts to shuttle me around and take me shopping. It was nice to come home and see my husband (who spoils me in different ways) and pets, and sleep in my own bed again. (I missed you body pillow! 7 oz dried apricots. Heat oran...
