The few presents my parents gave me were material things I did not want, but longed for, instead, less tangible objects. You know the sort of thing I mean, dear reader: love, affection,. On her sensible floral dress. Worn with shiny black lace-up shoes. Who as a child slept. Five in a bed with. Her brothers and sisters. Who had a fiance, Henry. Who waved her goodbye.
