http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Life in the O-zone. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Our week in Instagram {April 9-15}. A quick recap of last week. Monday, April 9. Jjr woke up at 5:45 that morning. Since we were up early, we went ahead and did our grocery run. This boy loves Publix- the people, so much to look at, and riding in the cart. So proud of his new sitting up trick that he'd rather do that than nap. Tuesday, April 10. It was supposed to be nap time. Wednesday, April 11. Thursday, April 12. Friday, April 13. Saturday, April 14. I had...

Life in the O-zone: August 2011
http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Life in the O-zone. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Catching up - first days at home. Saturday, August 6. Baby sign from Parkway. Before I started working at Parkway, I was in Huntsville one weekend and an area church had placed a sign like this in the yard of a home in our neighborhood. I loved it and knew this had to be part of my ministry to families. My friend Lynda made it happen! While we were still in the hospital, our friend Amy and her boys delivered the sign to our yard:). Jack's first ice cream cake!

Life in the O-zone: The Story of Us
http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2010/02/story-of-us.html
Life in the O-zone. Thursday, August 26, 2010. The Story of Us. This is going to be like one of those recaps from LOST (our favorite show, btw). Rebecca grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. And little brother, Michael. The most recent picture of us (July 2010 @ Sara's Wedding). John was born in Winston-Salem, NC, lived in Bowling Green, KY for a few years, but spent most of his growing years outside of DC in Vienna, VA. Our favorite pic from John's growing up years. John immediately joined our group of friends.

Life in the O-zone: In Our Kitchen ~ Crab Cakes
http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2012/04/in-our-kitchen-crab-cakes.html
Life in the O-zone. Monday, April 16, 2012. In Our Kitchen Crab Cakes. Not only does John say that this is one of the best things that I cook, he says these. Crab cakes are the best he's had ANYWHERE. The recipe is from the Williams-Sonoma Bride and Groom Cookbook. I registered for this cookbook at WS when we got married and every recipe I've made from it has been amazing. 1 Tbsp olive oil. 1/3 cup minced yellow onion. 1/3 cup minced celery. Kosher salt and pepper. 1lb fresh or thawed frozen lump crabmeat.

Life in the O-zone: October 2011
http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Life in the O-zone. Monday, October 31, 2011. On Sunday we dedicated Jack at church. This was our outward promise to teach him about God's promises and truths at home and church. Great Grandma Betty, Great Grandma Catherine, Grandma Amy, Gran, and Poppy were all in attendance. Before it was over, Jim had the whole place in tears. He does a great job with these dedications. Our friends Jane and Amy were so sweet to be our videographer and photographer:) We'll post pics soon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Life in the O-zone: July 2011
http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Life in the O-zone. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. I finally got around to scanning all of last years Christmas cards. We hate to just throw them out so scanning is a great way to save them without taking up physical storage space. If it were up to me, I would probably leave them on the fridge year round:). Grandma Betty's annual pic with Santa. Monday, July 25, 2011. I think 27 weeks was the last picture I posted. Here's the progress since then. 28 weeks - May 13. 30 weeks - May 27. 33 weeks - June 17. Life in the O-zone: January 2012
http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Life in the O-zone. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Since it was a holiday, Daddy got to help with this shoot. Of course he made sure Jack had perfectly combed hair! Some of our favorites. Loves to lay in daddy's lap like this, and always has from day 1. Had to get some crying pics. Aunt Mamie's idea- after he eats (since we can't lay him down because of his reflux) put him in the bumbo and pull him up to his tree top friends! Bath time is still so much fun! Doggie wanted to dress for the occasion, too. So sw...

Life in the O-zone: May 2012
http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Life in the O-zone. Friday, May 11, 2012. I'm often asked what kind of camera/lens(es) I use. (I will add that it's not completely about the camera, the change in my photography was all about learning to shoot in manual) I currently have the Canon Rebel XSi, 50mm f/1.4 lens, and 430 EXII flash. This has been a great entry level dslr but I've outgrown it and am ready to upgrade. All that being said, my Canon equipment is FOR SALE! Canon EOS Rebel XSi 18-55mm kit lens. Only used for a little over a year.

Life in the O-zone: February 2012
http://teamorton.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Life in the O-zone. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. February 1 - 6 months old. After some frustration with the high chair pieces being labeled wrong, we got the highchair put together in anticipation of starting solids. Another cute hand me down from Jack's buddy Cole. Cole wore this one day during our Pandamania VBS last summer. Getting so good at sitting up! Nap time after daddy came home from work. The beginnings of Jack's first cold or teeth. When he got mad, he blew nose bubbles. Decided to try out th...
