Sunday, October 14, 2012. Surgery went good - pretty much as expected. She will wear a cast now for 3 weeks till we come back for her followup. Right now she is quite uncomfortable. Her pain meds take the edge off but she cries lots and complains of "owie elbow." Poor sweetie. Tomorrow we see her leg surgeon and I pray I don't hear the word surgery come out of his mouth! October 14, 2012 at 5:55 PM. Praying for pain relief immediately! October 16, 2012 at 8:16 PM. Many hugs and prayers for Ember tonight!

Thursday, December 8, 2011. Happy Birthday sweet baby! Today is Ember's 2nd birthday! She had no clue :) I'm so grateful that she is home where she belongs. I had to wonder though how her birth mother felt today. Was she sad? Does she wonder where her daughter is? How she is doing? Maybe she doesn't want to remember. Saturday, June 9, 2012. Erie, adenoids, and hip surgery. Ugh So, when we go for a follow-up we'll see what is offered. We're waiting on approval her hearing aids. Why we need approval is beyond me - the aids cost roughly $4000 and insurance pays a whopping $500. Will the aids even help? There is also surgery to repair the holes. It is a big surgery though and there are risks. What if we close the hole and she accumulates fluid again? Put another tube in and be back where we are today? And a life was born.

The last major update had Ember just starting to recover from her elbow surgery. I have had a lot of ups and downs since then. Thinking about wheelchairs is daunting to say the least. OUR GIRLS, "LOVEDAY" AND "LORA" ARE NOW HOME. Thursday, May 21, 2015. I Have The Girls :). Two girls in two days - phew! We are all wiped out but doing pretty well. Tuesday was a 12.5 hour day of waiting, driving, waiting, driving, pick-up, waiting and driving :). Then I brought DeAnna to the apartment. Wednesday was about 7 hours of the same - then Dasha was home! I know we (all of us! Will have lots of adjusting and learning to do in the coming months, so please pray for us.
