The Life of a Cosplayer: January 2014
http://cosplaylife.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Life of a Cosplayer. Oh my goodness, when did Animation On Display sneak up on me? I just got my confirmed panel time about a week ago. Magikarp a History" will be on Saturday, January 25th from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. I just got the confirmation of my cosplay contest entry a few days ago, now all that's left to do if make sure my cosplay is in top condition and finish choreographing my performance! I really hope I do well in the contest! Links to this post. 30-Day Ab Challenge: Final Thoughts. So I did th...

The Life of a Cosplayer. Photo by Saturn 7 Photography. Emely, aka Emerii has been cosplaying since 2012, after learning about the hobby in 2009. In 2013, she picked up a sewing machine and crafted her first cosplay, Sailor Fluttershy (MLP). Photo by Tazirai on Cosplay.com. Also be creative and have fun! Her favorite outfits are her Steampunk outfit and her Alice in Wonderland cosplay. Photo by Saturn 7 Photography. 8221; She also enjoys cosplay gatherings about as much as conventions. The Life of a Cosplayer: How to Read Sewing Patterns (Part 1): Brands, Packaging, & Measurements
http://cosplaylife.blogspot.com/2014/06/how-to-read-sewing-patterns-part-1.html
The Life of a Cosplayer. How to Read Sewing Patterns (Part 1): Brands, Packaging, and Measurements. Since my "Sewing: How to Read Patterns" panel at Fanime went over so well, and because a couple of people requested it, I'll be basically converting the panel into written tutorials. (Maybe videos too, but don't count on it because I suck at doing videos.). Part 1: Brands, Packaging, and Measurements. Part 2: Patterns Pieces &; Vocabulary. The brands that I used in this tutorial include:. When you're buyin...
The Life of a Cosplayer: February 2014
http://cosplaylife.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The Life of a Cosplayer. SacAnime Winter 2014 (Friday-Saturday Jan 3rd-4th). We weren't given much instruction (actually we weren't given any. Every convention seems to do it differently. Since we hadn't paid anything in advanced, we went to the at-con registration, this is usually the safest bet. Also the only picture that exists of me at this con. It was a pretty good panel, ran ten minutes under our allotted time, which is fine because we had an hour and a half, and that's a lot. After the panel, we t...
Convention Life: Kin-Yoobi Con 2009
http://conventionlife.blogspot.com/2010/02/kin-yoobi-con-2009.html
Cons in the SF Bay Area. I woke up around 9:30 to get ready. I had originally wanted to leave at 11, but my ride wanted to go earlier. And then ended up showing up late. So we arrived at the con at 11 anyway. We scoped out the area and played a couple video games. I played DDR as Amaterasu to the delight of a few onlookers. The scenario was, the emcee was a bartender who had a secret password, which we were supposed to attain. So. Me: Is there any drink you would recommend? Bartender: No, nothing really.
Convention Life: YaoiCon 2010 (Saturday)
http://conventionlife.blogspot.com/2010/11/yaoicon-2010-saturday.html
Cons in the SF Bay Area. I attended Yaoi-Con 2010 on Saturday, October 30th with my boyfriend. I cosplayed as 13-year-old Franziska von Karma from Ace Attorney: Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. Afterward, we went to check out what we thought. I think the biggest disappointment though was the fact that they didn't have a lot of content, and attendees were expected to already know almost everything about all of the games. I don't think a little general info would have hurt them at all. Sure, some. After th...
Convention Life: Super-Con 2009
http://conventionlife.blogspot.com/2010/02/super-con-2009.html
Cons in the SF Bay Area. Super-Con was, in shot, ah-maze-ing. I woke up at eight to try and be ready by nine. Usually just putting on a costume wouldn't take me so long, but putting on the body paint for the automail took FOREVER (and ended up coming off and sticking to EVERYTHING but my leg)! So I was ready by about nine-thity / ten-ish (which sucked 'cause I wanted to LEAVE at nine), and we arrived around eleven. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Convention Life: Kin-Yoobi Con 2008
http://conventionlife.blogspot.com/2010/02/kin-yoobi-con-2008.html
Cons in the SF Bay Area. Overall, very underwhelming. I suppose I was just spoiled with my first real con being Fanime, but Kin-Yoobi was kinda boring, even for people who said it was their first. It wasn't terrible, it's not like I didn't have any fun, but it seemed like there was nothing to do. Do you have a gun? Here, use this gun! I wanna get in the picture! The camera's not working! Why is there a timer on it? And I was just like "What the? Lame I'm tired and I have a headache and I was BORED! THIS ...
Convention Life: Holiday Anime Faire 2009
http://conventionlife.blogspot.com/2010/02/holiday-anime-faire-2009.html
Cons in the SF Bay Area. Holiday Anime Faire 2009. I am sooo glad I went to Holiday Anime Faire. Especially as Amaterasu. I went in a browsed (okay, ransacked) the place for a wall scroll of Chi, which I did not find! Rage* Oh well. I bought the last two books of Chobits later instead. I loitered around and ran into (or rather was pulled out of the crowd by) a couple of friends. We were disturbed by this girl. How do I describe her? Speaking of first place, I got it! Adventures in Co-Parenting | Co-parenting isn't always easy, but loving your kids is…
Co-parenting isn't always easy, but loving your kids is. May 10, 2015. Lessons learned from our own moms that have brought us together as co-parents. Fast forward about five years. Later that day, Josh and I stopped by to have a beer with JT’s group. I recognized most of his friends from college, and then there was a group of young pretty women off to the side. One in particular, took a liking to Jackson. She was caring, sweet, and had a contagious smile. I called JT up immediately and told him that he s...

adventures in cornbread
Saturday, December 10, 2011. CORN BREAD AND CORNBREAD ACCESSORIES. Duh, I mean deet-dah-dee! Even when I was little I already thought of the road (mostly highways) as a river. What better place to cast the pone. Should we build a pier? Hmm, a sign eh? I see a giant floating spoon, and off in the middle distance his band "The Accessories" Cornbread, Soup, Coffee, Beans, and Salad. I see the beginnings of a Flatware County Christmas. Friday, December 9, 2011. I admit it cheap played into it some. I lov...

I've been serving for about 6 months now and i've been good. So good that i am allowed 2 hours every other day on the internet in the prison library!

Adventures in Couchsurfing | "Creating a better world, one couch at a time."
Creating a better world, one couch at a time. Stepping off the plane I was embraced by the warm, sticky air of Lima. The beautiful sound of foreign language filled the international terminal and I made a conscious effort to switch my brain from English to Spanish. Still in a sleepy daze after my 9 hour flight I shuffled my way through immigrations and was happy to find my backpack waiting for me at baggage claim. And my flight to didn’t leave until 5am. Admittedly, I was a little nervous. Shuffling betwe...

Thursday, June 5, 2014. Enjoying a Screened Porch. We have been able to spend a little time on the screened porch. My herbs are on this porch, love the way they smell when I water them! There was a set of dishes at the thrift store that practically begged to come home with me. There was no choice, I had to bring them home and put them in the hutch. Links to this post. Monday, June 2, 2014. Monday Musing - Sweet Iced Tea. As for Kevin and me, we will enjoy our iced deliciousness on the front porch in the ...
