Sunday, April 18, 2010. So there is the final cake, not to bad for my first attempt. I'm pretty proud of myself and I think it's fairly safe to say that I had some of the better roses in class. Decorating really comes down to making great icing, it's got to be just the right consistency or it won't work. I need to work more on my icing and I may actually get good at this! Friday, March 12, 2010. Why, you ask? Last Monday in my first class we learned the basics- how to top (cut) a cake, how to make icing and how to ice a cake. My in house Baker, Bryan, baked a lovely, level cake. I made the icing just as the instructor instructed and it came out surprisingly well. As for icing the cake, not so much. Brady turned 2 back in August. We had a little family get together and a cookie cake for him. The Pumpkin Patch and a Petting Zoo. We ventured out several weekends ago to North Ga to visit the Bert's Pumpkin Patch and an Elijay Apple Orchard. The kids had a great time at both but the highlight of the day was definitely the hayride. Of course I didn't get a single picture of it but they really had fun, especially Brady. This past weekend we went to the Air Show at Dobbins at it was AMAZING. We got to see some wonderful friends and their adorable tots too! Enjoy the pictures and Happy Halloween!
