Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide: December 2013
http://adventuresofjenandfamily.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide. Saturday, December 7, 2013. Patience is the Key. I had not thought about this experience in MANY years. I had no reason to draw on this little kernel of knowledge…until tonight that is. This holiday season our family has jumped onto the Advent Calendar bandwagon! Sounded like a GREAT and easy idea to me so we found an old preggo spaghetti sauce jar, wrapping paper, white paint and some sequins and set to work decorating. Did someone pick the lock? My baby is loc...

Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide: October 2013
http://adventuresofjenandfamily.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide. Sunday, October 27, 2013. We visited our favorite tour company and arranged for a 6 day driving tour that would take us on an unforgettable, one of a kind adventure. Sunday night we packed our bags and prepared as best we could for our adventure. Of course Jacob was sick. He had a double ear infection and was on antibiotics that, of course, had to be refrigerated! You may be wondering, what is the big deal? The big visit for day one was the Dorze Village and mar...

Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide: May 2014
http://adventuresofjenandfamily.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide. Sunday, May 18, 2014. Well friends and family, we have been on one long adventure together. Our family has been back in the States for about six weeks now. Hard to believe! Now let's move on to, “The Journey Home”. Our last days in Addis were busy! I am sad that I cannot find anything to compare with it here in the US of A. We found our seats without a problem and settled down to endure the seven or so hour flight to London. Eventually Jake saw the error of his ...

Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide. Saturday, April 5, 2014. Hi friends and family! I am actually back in the states! I had some major internet issues the last two months that we were in Ethiopia so I'm going to be posting the last few weeks of Ethiopia in the next few days and then I will be posting our homecoming post. Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide. Friday, November 22, 2013. I Hate Losing More Than I Like Winning. Hello friends and family! It is hard to believe that I have lived in Addis for about 7 months now! My how time flies! I came to the realization that I will be leaving in less than half a year and I have all of these mixed emotions. I decided that I needed to try to be excited to go back to the States. How? To run the race! I’ve told EVERYONE! I have PLENTY of training time! 8,000ft elevation baby!

Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide: June 2013
http://adventuresofjenandfamily.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide. Thursday, June 27, 2013. I love my house. No really! According to the American Embassy our family was too large for this house. Yes that is right this house was too small for our family of 5! The house was structurally unsound. We didn’t really see much wrong with it but apparently there were some major problems that the homeowner would not fix so the Embassy decided to give the house back to the landlord. This house was enormous! As the embassy workers began to...

Mom's Declassified African Survival Guide. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Who's ready for VACATION! I have to say that the best vacation of my life was the vacation that we took just last month. We decided to take a trip from the 31st of December thru the 11th of January. It was AMAZING! The flight was relatively short and happily uneventful. We landed and got through customs with out much trouble. The only discomfort that we experienced was the heat! He is not often that hot. Who's driving this thing?

From San Francisco to Virginia Beach and everything in between :). I admit… I’ve been avoiding this post! Because it means S2SS is over, which makes me sad. BUT I am happy because it happened, happy because of the people I met who changed my life, and happy because of the experience I had this summer. If you had told me in January that I would travel across the country with 30 strangers, I would have told you that you were mental. I learned the nights with enough sleep are never the ones you remember :).

The Adventures of Jen and Kyle
The Adventures of Jen and Kyle. Est March 31, 2000. Kyle and Jen Quotes. The Reason Behind the Blog. Pyper loves our new home! The funny thing is at the apartment, she loved her scratching box and tunnel. She hasn’t touched either since we’ve moved into our house. Next Sunday will be a month since we moved! Pyper also loves our windows. The majority of our windows are really long…about a foot or so off the ground. They also have decent-sized windowsills for her to lie on. 5 We had a minor gas leak. 8 Mik...

Jenn's Big Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. The Vase that showed me what love is. July 27, 2011. One of my favorite things about Tim is that no worry if mine is too small for him to care about. One of my favorite moments was when a vase from my dad broke. normal people would throw it right in the trash, Tim saw the look on my face and promptly took it and glued it together. Tonight that’s what i miss about him most. The total understanding of my quirks. XOXO Come home soon, and come home safe.

The Many Adventures of Jenn and Kendra
The Many Adventures of Jenn and Kendra. We are two best friends having a crazy adventure in this thing we call life! Thursday, May 26, 2011. Don't Let Me Touch The Muck! One thing that Jenn and I really like to do during the summer is to go up the her grandparents cabin in Lava Hot Springs. There is this terrific pond a few miles away that is perfect for canoeing, for fishing, for floating on inner tubes, and for just plain swimming in. It's actually my favorite place to swim.
