Adventures of Room 129
Sunday, March 29, 2015. My First Teaching Presentation! Yes, I started my post with a hashtag. It deserves it! I checked something off of my bucket list last weekend and I'm so proud of myself. It's always been a dream of mine after starting my teaching career to present at a teaching conference. Well, last week I did just that! So the procrastination began. And when March hit I went into panic mode! But relax - it all came together very smoothly! Wanna know what I presented on! The Gradual Release Model!
Adventures of Room 129
Friday, January 6, 2017. Goal Setting Made Easy! So as teachers, we have lots on our plates at all times. Differentiating lessons, grading, planning, the list could go on and on! When we are in the middle of teaching a lesson we don't just teach, we manage behaviors, inspire students, reflect and make split second decisions. All in all, we have a lot going on in our brains each and every day. But what if you could put a BIT of that responsibility into the students' hands? Sounds amazing, right? Of course...

Royboy.....Life and Times
It's All Too Good Man! Thursday, March 19, 2009. A Thing About Machines. When I lived in the city (SLC) which by personal experience has undoubtedly the worst drivers in the nation I drove on the defence. Could be something to do with so many people driving without insurance meaning they probably haven't taken any kind of drivers course well why should they, the plates on the cars are usually taken from parking lots or the U of U. I can attest to this. They don't need it in SLC. Do any of you believe in ...

Epic Adventures
Wednesday, 28 March 2012. A tiny epic, but important. Painful and annoying week where my fitness is concerned, or should I say, I am concerned about my fitness. This time last year I was in incredible shape, running 20 miles every Sunday on the Coastpath. Yesterday I struggled with 7k. The flu virus I had has knocked my fitness levels, but I am determined to get back to what I was before. Monday night I struggled to do a decent turning kick in class, it annoyed me so much I've been practising ever since.

Adventures of Running Chick
Adventures of Running Chick. Wednesday, February 11, 2009. This is my story. I am running as a member of Team in Training in Vancouver May 3, 2009 in support of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. This is not just any run. This weekend is the 9th anniversary of my Father’s unrelated Bone Marrow Transplant. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in 1999. This is a story of family solidarity. A story of old friends and new friends, who knew just when to be there. I thank you. You are all my heros. . 3 You can...

The Adventures of Running Lisa
Friday, March 22, 2013. I haven’t posted in a while. Sorry. But there are many reasons why, good and bad:. I HAVE TWO SUPER CUTE KITTIES! Seriously, I can’t get anything done because they are just too darn cute. They chase each other around. They hug each other when they sleep. They groom each other. They’re having a total bromance. It’s really distracting. I signed up for an online class…on the hero in Greek literature. It’s kind of cool, but also a lot of reading. Did I mention how cute my kitties are?

Adventures Of Running Mom
Adventures Of Running Mom. Trail running for my sanity and vanity. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Qucik Update and More Vacation Photos. I've been back to running for over a week now. I'm taking it slow, literally. I've decided this comeback would be the perfect time to finally get to running barefoot and in my Vibrams full time during my road runs. I've also decided to do low heart rate training. There are sooooo many LHR training methods out there! Now on to some more vacation photos! Stay tuned for more...
