MotherJoggerBlogger: How Does Your Garden Grow?
http://motherjoggerblogger.blogspot.com/2012/04/how-does-your-garden-grow.html
An Experiment in Saving My Sanity. (And having a little fun while I do it.). Wednesday, April 11, 2012. How Does Your Garden Grow? My five year old would make an excellent son of a farmer. Most days he beats the sunrise. And before he can rub the sleep out of his eyes he is spouting out various heavy-lifting plans for the twenty-four hours ahead of him. Can I build a canal around the house? I think the front yard needs a mote. Can we go to Africa after school and dig for stegosaurus bones? Was to start d...

MotherJoggerBlogger: July 2011
http://motherjoggerblogger.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
An Experiment in Saving My Sanity. (And having a little fun while I do it.). Friday, July 1, 2011. First day of July and we are just cruising right along with this summer. We started the week off with a visit to the OB. With kids in tow, I was grateful for the shorter wait this time, and it seems baby bump number three's growth is progressing nicely. Good growing baby,. You always have busy babies, don't you? First position. The picture is too blurry, but Beanky is on the barre beside her. I wanna go home.

MotherJoggerBlogger: A Week In the Life
http://motherjoggerblogger.blogspot.com/2012/03/week-in-life.html
An Experiment in Saving My Sanity. (And having a little fun while I do it.). Sunday, March 11, 2012. A Week In the Life. My motherhood rhythm has been off this week. I’ve had to break it down into smaller victories so as to not completely lose what is left of my mind. No one starved. No one remained dirty. By Thursday, just when I was quite certain I would not be able to take another sleep deprived day, I discovered the ACC basketball tournament was on. It’s March? How the heck did this happen? Baby Fore...

MotherJoggerBlogger: Spring Break
http://motherjoggerblogger.blogspot.com/2012/04/spring-break.html
An Experiment in Saving My Sanity. (And having a little fun while I do it.). Wednesday, April 11, 2012. This time of year has always done something to me. When I was teaching college-aged students I would resent their blank stares in between longing glances out the windows. I would have carpal tunnel from grading giant stacks of English papers and found their lackadaisical attitudes toward their assignments particularly egregious; everyone (myself included) in desperate need of a break. I am not a teacher.

MotherJoggerBlogger: February 2011
http://motherjoggerblogger.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
An Experiment in Saving My Sanity. (And having a little fun while I do it.). Thursday, February 24, 2011. The advantage of no one taking a nap today: everyone is in their separate quarters by 7:30 with nary a complaint. Now Mark and I are going to make one last attempt at watching. If it doesn't happen, I'll be sticking that thing back in the good ole red Netflix. Envelope and sending it back. And I have a mommy's night away planned for Saturday night. I can hardly wait to watch cable, eat chinese. Event...

MotherJoggerBlogger: April 2011
http://motherjoggerblogger.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
An Experiment in Saving My Sanity. (And having a little fun while I do it.). Friday, April 15, 2011. The Difference Between a Bad Haircut and a Good One. About a week. At least, that's what my dad tells me. For Heath's sake, I hope he's right. Shortly after Stella hunkered down for her two hour afternoon snooze, I decided to take a pregnant pause and put my own dogs up, while Heath happily snipped at ribbon with his trusty green preschooler scissors. I'm making shorts for the beach. And that's how we end...

http://motherjoggerblogger.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
An Experiment in Saving My Sanity. (And having a little fun while I do it.). Saturday, March 17, 2012. Alston and Bird Corporate Cup Half Marathon, March 10, 2012: Race Report. But I wasn’t running the 5K. I had ten more miles to go. We bantered about my favorite race topics: are we going to need these gloves and hat? Will I survive with just water station stops or should I bring this cumbersome water bottle? Did you bring your Gu Chomps? Where is my race bib? Oh my word, I left it at the, oh wait, there...

Off The Couch Guy: August 2010
http://offthecouchguy.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Off The Couch Guy. What is an off the couch guy? For my purposes its someone who enjoys sports and experiences but for whatever the reason is probably more than less prepared for the event compared to his peers. Its about jumping up off the couch and going out and experiencing things and not letting that little voice tell you not to because you arent prepared. Tuesday, August 17, 2010. I have mentioned that I'm training for an ultramarathon. Race in an earlier post. What is an ultramarathon? To many in t...

Running 40 for 40: August 2010
http://running40for40.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Running 40 for 40. The words and miles of a 40-something runner, indoor cycling instructor, mom, Reiki Master, and whatever else arrives on the journey. Sunday, August 29, 2010. Wherever you are is always the right place. There is never a need to fix anything, to hitch up the bootstraps of the soul and start at some higher place. Start right where you are.". I reflected on motivation and about all of the athletes, not just runners, that I admire. Do they have an off day? Thursday, August 26, 2010. We lef...

Running 40 for 40: November 2010
http://running40for40.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Running 40 for 40. The words and miles of a 40-something runner, indoor cycling instructor, mom, Reiki Master, and whatever else arrives on the journey. Sunday, November 28, 2010. Dirty Birds • Dirty Moments • Dirty Thoughts. In the old man's Ford. Until I'm screamin' for more. Lock the cellar door. Talk dirty to me". Has the best t-shirts, but this one is my favorite so far. In a conversation the other day about racing, I observed that there is a moment in every. Race that I wonder, "WHY am I doing this?
