Friday, January 9, 2015. Such a happy girl when she is at home with her family! We worked hard on our tunnel. These girls crawled through it I don't know how many times. Gustafsons: Hearts
http://klqj.blogspot.com/2015/07/hearts.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. His office overlooks the football stadium and even in the hospital, we could not escape Brutus and the Ohio state fanatics! I suppose my girls are being raised as true Ohioans who love silver and red.I mean scarlet and gray. All but Cora. Look at that face she is giving the buckeye man! Josh has been able to harvest two donor hearts. He gets to fly in a private jet to wherever the heart is. Get driven to and from the airport in an ambulance. Robbie is jealous of all of this.

Gustafsons: September 2014
http://klqj.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. Cora finished her four week round of chemo and is doing great. For those who did not know, she had some elevated cells rolling around in her body that the doctor wanted to attack before they caused problems. She is amazing! Josh and I ran the Air Force half marathon a week ago. I was pretty nervous going into it, but it felt amazing! I felt super great the whole run and did not get too sore afterwards. I did get an impressive blister though. Tuesday, September 23, 2014. I know...

Gustafsons: October 2014
http://klqj.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2014. Before the craziness of tomorrow's school parties and trick-or-treating, I thought I would post some pictures of the girls' costumes. Along with the rest of the five-year-old girl population, Ava chose to be Elsa. I bought the perfect small rectangle sequins for her bodice, but Ava had her own vision of how her costume should look. She glued on all of those plastic jewels by herself. Cora could live in her Anna costume if I let her. She LOVES it! Tuesday, October 28, 2014.

Gustafsons: November 2014
http://klqj.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 22, 2014. Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Last night we went to a Christmas party put on by make-a-wish. It was such a lovely night. Very kid friendly and low key. Being around so many sick kids made me feel thankful for how well Cora is doing. This week brought cold weather and snow. The girls were thrilled with their first snow day if the year. I think kids in snow gear look so cute. The wet gear heaped in piles afterward is not as great though. Saturday, November 15, 2014.

Gustafsons: August 2014
http://klqj.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 21, 2014. First week of school. The night before the first day of school we have a tradition of handing out certificates to each of the girls for things they excelled at this summer. Some of them included: great helper, most pages read, most improved swimmer, most teeth lost. Liezl wants me to note that Quincy is up on the sidewalk and she is down on the grass. She is the taller of the two. We also had our first soccer game this week! She was nervous this morning but did not shed a tear!

Gustafsons: Moments from this week
http://klqj.blogspot.com/2015/06/moments-from-this-week.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Moments from this week. We have had fun so far doing things not too extraordinary, but still fabulous. Cora's last infusion was made extra special thanks to dear friends who came to keep us company. They brought some fantastic accessories for this princess. Summer means lots of library visits. These girls are the best! After a morning at playgroup, some of us got doughnuts for national doughnut day. So many kids! He gave us all a heart anatomy lesson. It was pretty exciting.

Gustafsons: Emerald Isle
http://klqj.blogspot.com/2015/06/emerald-isle.html
Sunday, June 28, 2015. We spent most of our time at the beach. Liezl and Quincy loved jumping through the waves and Ava and Cora mostly chose to collect shells and make castles. The surgeon who took out Cora's tumor is one of Josh's mentors. We stayed at his beach house which was amazing! We loved hanging out on the porch to swing, chat and relax. Liezl always made sure we were well supplied with the magazines she found around the house. Facials and mani-pedis after a day in the sun. Pretty perfect.

Gustafsons: Harry Potter camp and races
http://klqj.blogspot.com/2015/06/harry-potter-camp-and-races.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. Harry Potter camp and races. I have got to document our excitement from this last week before more pictures pile up. Liezl and her friends luke and Emma started Harry Potter camp yesterday. They all got sorted into the ravenclaw house. When she got home yesterday, Liezl was exhausted. I think the lazy summer schedule is making her soft. I will add in some swim pictures too. Summer is pretty fabulous when you have plenty of friends and water to keep you cool. Katie, Chris, and Boys.

Saturday, March 28, 2015. Kristi, Liezl, Quincy, Ava, Cora, and Josh. Thursday, March 19, 2015. An update is well overdue for this blog. We have decided to stay in Dayton for the next two years instead of moving to columbus. Josh is convinced the commute will be fine. I am thrilled we get to stay in our house and prolong saying goodbye to our amazing friends! Grocery trips and tea party pictures have made their way onto my phone so I am including them here. We are so excited. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
