Quick Start Guide to AREDN. December 27, 2014. Load the AREDN firmware on the Node. Download the firmware from http:/ www.aredn.org/content/software. YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD THE APPROPRIATE FIRMWARE FOR YOUR DEVICE. ALSO, NOTICE THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN LOADING FROM A STOCK FIRMWARE VS AN EARLIER MESH VERSION. Connect your PC to the device via CAT5 (easiest way). Go into AirOS and update the firmware. Disconnect the CAT5, wait 5 secs, reconnect (to get a new IP address). Enter a new password.
