Armitstead Family News: New Year
http://armitsteadfamilynews.blogspot.com/2013/02/new-year.html
Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Since it's more like Chinese New Year, I thought I'd finally share what we did to ring in 2013. New Year's Eve, we headed to my parents’ house to par-tay with my siblings and their families. It was especially fun, since this is the first year in quite a few that Kevin hasn’t had to work, so we got to spend the whole night together. We had a blast playing games and sharing good food. This classic fishing game was a hit with the kids. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Armitstead Family News: Christmas 2012
http://armitsteadfamilynews.blogspot.com/2012/12/christmas-2012.html
Friday, December 28, 2012. I hope everyone had a good Christmas this year. I know we did. Here's a few pictures. Keeping to our Christmas Eve tradition, we had our Armitstead family dinner and opening of gifts. As you can see we made a giant mess. Abi and Savannah posed for a couple of pictures for me in their jammies. Those two are such hams! Santa did find his way to our house, and here's the proof. After we ate breakfast (and after Abi woke up a little more), we dug right in. View my complete profile.

Cookin' n Bookin': September 2012
http://cookinnbookin.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 23, 2012. Book Review: Blood Red Road (Steph). 4 out of 5 thumbs up. Takes place in the future where we meet Saba, a teenage girl who lives with her father, twin brother, and younger sister in a barren, dusty place near a dried-up lake. One day, some strange men arrive and, without warning, kill her father and kidnap her brother. Saba leaves her home in the waste to look for her brother and has quite the adventure along the way. Overall, I liked this book. Thursday, September 6, 2012.

Cookin' n Bookin': January 2013
http://cookinnbookin.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Book Review: Warm Bodies (Steph). 4 out of 5 thumbs up. R is a zombie who lives at the airport. He likes to ride the escalator, listen to vinyl records and has a surprisingly advanced vocabulary, for a zombie. He remembers nothing from his past life including his name, where he was from, what he was like, or how long ago he died (or became un-dead). This is a zombie book, after all, so there is some gore, and the language is pretty bad and the main characters (teens) drink ki...
