Hello world! | Private Larks

Just another WordPress.com weblog. This page mainly exists as a way to let me post to WebWorkerDaily, where I’m one of the contributing writers. I’ve got enough other presences on the Web that I’m not likely to dump a bunch of content here. Chief among them:. 8211; My .NET-oriented daily news site. 8211; The chronicle of my attempt to wean myself off of Microsoft software. 8211; My personal site. C’mon and visit, or come see me on Twitter. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0.

This will be a web application (what isn’t these days? Btw R...

Creating a DVD Slideshow – Step 2 | Making the Switch
https://makingtheswitch.wordpress.com/2007/05/23/creating-a-dvd-slideshow-step-2
One Microsoft Employee Documents His Switch from Windows to Linux. Creating a DVD Slideshow – Step 2. May 23, 2007. I ended up using dir2slideshow. To create the basic script. It worked well except that the documented “-k” command line parameter was missing so I had to put off trying the Ken Burns effects. To fit the slideshow into a specific time window I adjusted the display rate to 8 seconds per shot (from the default of 5) and left the default 1 second transition time alone.
