Friday, May 29, 2009. Week Two - Check! Bryan's second week of Chemotherapy and Radiation is done! What an interesting week this has been. They increased the amount of Chemo that was being infused from 0.4 ml/hour to 1.0 ml/hour. They also gave him Normal Saline mixed in with the Chemo. Not sure if this was because his lytes were low, or just to keep him hydrated? We'll find out Monday. Tuesday was the only day he didn't go to work, because of the nausea. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. It is hard to believe that in only 8 [business] days, the 6 weeks of Chemotherapy and Radiation will be over. It seems still like this journey is just beginning, and in a way, it is! We aren't quite sure what the plan is after treatment ends. We know at some point, they will do Repeat-Everythings to see if the cancer shrunk or spread, if Bryan responded or not, etc . We're not sure when that will happen; That will probably be decided next week. In the mean time, we just wait!

Tuesday, July 14, 2009. So What Happens Now? Sorry it has been a while since we've updated. Life goes on, I guess! Bryan finished his Chemo Therapy and Radiation June 26th. I left with Lady and Chaucer to go get their shots, and as I'm driving along I hear this loud thudding somewhere in/on the car. I'm thinking "i've never heard that before, that can't be good" so I pull into the next gas station, get out and my back left tire has a HUGE GAPING HOLE in it, and it's still smoking! We had tried one time before, right when he turned 4 months and we could tell he wasn't ready. So, we decided that yesterday was long enough to wait, and we were right! He absolutely inhaled it! Now, we need to buy a highchair! Now, I would like to give a HUGE CONGRATS to Matt and Bridget! So happy for you both!

Sunday, April 24, 2011. April 24: The Day That Got Away. Today kind of took on a life of it's own. I got a lot of things accomplished around the house, but food prep was NOT one of those things. The plan is to just wing it with what I have. So with no further ado and as little effort as humanly possible:. Monday Spaghetti bolognese for the girls and marinara for me. Wednesday Pierogies with veggies. Friday Burgers (veggie for me) and oven fries. Hopefully I come up with Thursday's dinner before Thursday!
