Travelblogue: Pop or Soda? or Fizzy? Sparkling?
http://aimeeinedi.blogspot.com/2007/12/pop-or-soda-or-fizzy-sparkling.html
Adding extra letters every now and then. Monday, 24 December 2007. Duane Hanson exhibit in Volklingen, Germany. By now I'm sure everyone is tired of reading about another pop/modern art exhibit I have seen. Too bad! Duane Hanson is what you would call a 'super-realist.' His sculptures are scrupulous recreations of the average Joe. His exhibit in Volklingen, Germany at the Weltkulturerbe (World Culture Heritage) Site was titled 'The American Dream.'. Adding extra letters every now and then. Sunday, 6 January 2008. Why don't they exist in the USA? Seriously, let's start the tradition. Because I can't think of a better way start a nice Christmas Day meal than joining hands around table full of food, a small explosion, groaning at crappy jokes and wearing a crown for the rest of the day. Brilliant. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Adding extra letters every now and then. Monday, 31 December 2007. From the Tate Modern website:. Asks questions about the interaction of sculpture and space, about architecture and the values it enshrines, and about the shaky ideological foundations on which Western notions of modernity are built. Doris Salcedo was born in 1958 in Bogotá, Colombia, where she lives and works. A monographic display. Of her work can be seen on Level 3 as part of the Poetry and Dream. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

An I and two E's. Wednesday, 24 November 2010. Korea has been in the news (a bit more than usual) since yesterday's attack on Yeonpyeong, which killed two South Korean soldiers. I learned a bit out North Korea in college, and have kept up with the goings on since then. If you are interested in learning more, I have a few suggestions:. The Guardian's coverage of North Korea. Andy's sister-in-law, Tania Branigan, does much of the reporting.). A State of Mind. A documentary about the mass games. Although I ...

An I and two E's. Tuesday, 19 April 2011. I have Ashli to thank for getting me into swagbucks. Two ways to supplement my grad student fellowship (and my cheese habit. As I pulled my pizza out of the oven, I realized that it is working! Ugh, how do I rotate this? Crust - $1 from trader joe's. Sauce - free from whole foods. Garlic - so cheap I don't even know. Fresh mozzarella - $2.99 from whole foods, and I used probably half of it. Shredded mozzarella - bought with a coupon from target.
Not Amy: January 2012

An I and two E's. Saturday, 14 January 2012. Cheese plate at L'Espalier. Today I was treated to afternoon tea at L'Espalier. By my friend Bridget. It was such a fun experience - the ambiance was nice, the company was of course superb (Bridget, her mother, and two other friends), the tea service was great and we talked with the tea sommelier about each pot we ordered. My favorite part, however, was the excellent cheese plate I ordered. Humble Pie, Woodcock Farm, Weston, Vermont. Crottina, Blue Ledge Farm.

Friday, July 23, 2010. Ok, An Update Then. I was just reminiscing earlier this week about how it's been exactly 1 year since my pipes exploded in my bathroom, forcing a remodel. My, how many things have happened since then! This weekend finds most of the world at Comic Con. Where will I be, you ask?
