In the past her birthday is has been on labor day weekend so we were always out of town and that was my excuse for not doing a party. This year it wasn't so I had no excuses. Basking in the sun. Pina colada in hand. virgin of course. Without a care in the world. 9 days was definitely not long enough. After my studious husband had to study for finals for hours on end, Hawaii could not have been a more perfect way to celebrate being done! I am beyond envious of where they live. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. This was inside a teepee that was there. There was a pretty bald eagle there. Maddie found a cute little hut. I don't remember what this bird was, but it was pretty. A toucan that was very pretty. This was Thomas's favorite. I can't remember it's name, though. I thought this blue jay was beautiful. We also went to a bird show. It was way cool. They brought out all these different birds and talked about the way they adapted to their environment. Maddie got to help with a little hawk.
