Tuesday, May 31, 2005. My first blog entry. Ok, I finally set up a blog linked to my website. Some topics to. Reflections on life in Seattle, now that we moved here from Jordan. Thoughts on American and Middle Eastern politics. Thoughts on the nature of God, which should hopefully go some ways towards refuting my acquired (though inaccurate) image of irreligiousness. Thursday, June 30, 2005. I had a fight with my mom today about something so silly: a mug! Yep, a mug with ears and a nose. One of those childish green ones that adults despise. And we were both screaming at the top of our lungs, and then i said "Why didn't you just throw me in some abbey! Whoa, that must be a life changing moment don't you think. Why did i do that? I was in trouble for an article i wrote about corruption and my favorite teacher told me "What you wrote is wrong." and i said to her "It...

Thursday, December 01, 2005. Bush sharpens his Iraq rhetoric. Note that I said "America" and not "this administration". These guys are rubbish; why would anybody with half a brain still think that they can get the "job" done given their track record so far? Stay the course or not, these guys will not fix Iraq. The next administration cannot come soon enough. In the meanwhile we will just have to suffer the increasingly pathetic tragicomedy in Washington DC that we're forced to live with.

Thursday, October 06, 2005. Generational gap, Jordanian style. Technically speaking, of course, one is allowed up to 4 wives in Islam, but is it considered OK, from an Islamic moral standpoint to hide this information about one spouse from the other(s)? Also, which act is more moral, the secret mistress of the father or the secret wife of the son? Posted by Samer Kurdi at 10:44 PM. Seattle, Washington, United States. View my complete profile. I know that is futile, but I am trying :-). Friday, June 30, 2006. The Rip Off At American Airports. I hope there is a way to combat this greed. Maybe if people started sending letters to the various food outlets (KFC, BK, Uno's, etc,) to complain. I will try to send an e-mail myself and see what happens, if I do get a reply, I will po...I was...

I know that is futile, but I am trying :-). Wednesday, December 27, 2006. I have no problem with this logic and it does make a lot of sense. My problem, however, is that education in Jordan is still basically crap when compared with the rest of the world. Http:/ ed.sjtu.edu.cn/rank/2006/ARWU2006TOP500list.htm. http://ameendhillon.blogspot.com/2010/10/patio-mosaic-project.html
Ameen - Visual Artist. Thursday, October 21, 2010. I took advantage of September's sunny weather to finally finish our outdoor patio. We had been visualizing this project project for years and are really happy with the results. I started with an acid etch on the concrete and then set out the tile layout. Lovely backyard and patio, too:). By the time youve finished all your projects. your house will be a true work of art. Cant wait to see what yall do next! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
