Going South to Alaska… or taking the long way. May 12, 2008. Well, we’re in Fairbanks! Safe and sound. We have limited cell phone use. We’ll be spending the day looking for a place to live. So the adventure continues! May 12, 2008. We woke up in time to make it to Haines Junction for breakfast at a bakery we found advertised. Mexican pot pie for breakfast very filling! May 12, 2008. Friday, January 7, 2011. Saw on a post by one of the teachers with ITC a reference to a program called Blabberize. I think it is something we can do to enhance our teaching unit for the primary kids. Will have to see if any of 4th period has knowledge of it and can teach us to use it. I think every new gadget these days should come equipped with a teenager to guide you in getting started. Saturday, July 31, 2010. So, there have been several things going on. Time to catch up on some blogging! There are so many dogs. There is a culture of greetings. most dogs will nicely greet each other and if possible will start a small pack. especially on the beach. It's really nice to see really big dogs and really little ones hanging out together. Occasionally there is aggression, but this is really frowned upon. Well, our adventure is almost to an end.We have toured the Redwoods and have also had a great time in the Napa/Sonoma wine valley and San Francisco. We were able to see some great wineries and the beautiful vineyards. I got a chance to experience the breadth of these giant trees. We spent an afternoon touring the Benziger winery. Took a tram through the vineyards.
