http://alchymyst.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Life, stitching, and other musings. Sunday, 25 January 2015. Grow your Blog and a Giveaway. I'm excited to once again be a part of the wonderful Grow Your Blog Party. Ably hosted by Vicki from 2 Bags Full. The party is a chance to explore strange new blogs, (seek out new life and new civilisation, and boldly go where no blogger has gone before). Yes I'm a geek - you'll get used to that if you hang around here for long. At Flamingo Toes too). 1 pair of jeans (not skinny ones or you'll end up with a really.

The Alchymyst's Study: A Challenge Reveal
http://alchymyst.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-challenge-reveal.html
Life, stitching, and other musings. Sunday, 29 March 2015. It's reveal day for the Needlecraft Haven. Monthly Ornament Challenge. This month the design was either of a pair of Santa designs from Kissy Cross. I chose the version with the trees, and worked it on a perforated wood blank. I got the wood blank from Greek Art. Jo who can't think of a clever nickname. Thats a nice different way to display a piece. Those wooded plaques could be very versatile. 29 March 2015 at 12:26. Very pretty and different.

The Alchymyst's Study: December 2014
http://alchymyst.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Life, stitching, and other musings. Wednesday, 31 December 2014. Last Finish of 2014, a Gift and a wish. I've had this kit for ages and finally got round to having a go at it this week. The patchwork piece was ready made for you to add the silk ribbon embroidery. Backed with a piece of gold silk dupion and made up into a tiny pillow (or a slightly oversized pincushion depending on how you look at it). It's opening day for the Needlecraft Haven. The design is "A Spot of Winter" by The Drawn Thread. Yummy ...

Life, stitching, and other musings. Sunday, 5 April 2015. Happy Easter to you all. I've no crafty stuff to share today but Naomi did make this delicious Easter cake. Sorry about the blurred photo. The Easter cake is lovely! So, we will forgive you for the lack of craftiness this post. 5 April 2015 at 02:48. 5 April 2015 at 03:59. Jo who can't think of a clever nickname. The Alchymyst's Study: April 2015
http://alchymyst.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Life, stitching, and other musings. Sunday, 26 April 2015. Flowers and a Finish. But first for those of you who were left wondering, the superhero in the previous post was Iron Man. Spring has sprung in my little corner of Cornwall and I took these snaps in the garden last week. The earlier flowering of my camellias is covered in blossom this year (I don't know the variety, it was in the garden when we moved in). The finish is a small sampler with a quote from " Shaun of the Dead. If you are still with me.

The Alchymyst's Study: Blood Spatter Ananlysis
http://alchymyst.blogspot.com/2015/05/blood-spatter-ananlysis.html
Life, stitching, and other musings. Sunday, 10 May 2015. Careful scientific analysis of the blood spatter pattern on this. Robert Kaufman fabric reveals that it would make a perfect swing skirt for Eloise. Not easy to get a great picture without her here to model it, but it is a short, fully circular skirt made from the same pattern (New Look 6313) that I used for Naomi's super-heroine skirt in this post. A bit blingier than my usual style, but kind of fun for summer I thought. 10 May 2015 at 08:05.

The Alchymyst's Study: June 2014
http://alchymyst.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Life, stitching, and other musings. Sunday, 15 June 2014. Another version of the Simplicity 1463 top from this post. This one is in the same lace (it doesn't use very much, I did both tops with 1m and have some left over) and a manga print jersey. Modelled (with attitude) by Naomi. Again I had to cut a size smaller, this is an XS. This time I remembered to take a picture of the back. Was looking a bit sad when I got it out of the garage, so I freshened it up with a boat and some teeny tiny bunting. A lit...

The Alchymyst's Study: October 2014
http://alchymyst.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Life, stitching, and other musings. Friday, 31 October 2014. Trick or Treat Hallowe'en Blog Hop. Yes it's time for the annual Hallowe'en Trick or Treat Blog Hop, as organised by Jo from Serendipitous Stitching. Well the thing with plans is, they don't always go according to, well, plan. I've had some computer problems lately. In the true spirit of Hallowe'en Dr David is trying to resurect my dead hard drive. I'd like to say he is working in a dank and creepy basement, but we don't have one! Well, actuall...
