Under the big top. Just what we needed. Friday night is usually date night,. But wade was in canada skiing,. So nikki an i got to have a date. We've been rubbing each other the wrong way the past couple of weeks so i thought we'd better spend some alone time,. No piano practice, no dance, no school projects, or spelling, or room cleaning, or chores, or whatever else can vex or frustrate one or the other of us. Aaaaaaah. it was just what we needed. Nik instructed me in the proper way to roll your eyes.

Under the big top. It's been long enough! I'm ready to take back my blog. there's been too much that's happened that i don't want to forget. Under the big top. I'm going back here. I cleaned my office out last week and came across these pictures. When elle was about a month old my good friend, amy. Called and said, "hey, i'm trying something new with my photography. can i come take some pictures of you and the girls? I love love love what happened next. It's all so everyday and normal. Under the big top. It's been so unusually cold the past few weeks. i know. i know. it gets a LOT colder in lots of other places, so i shouldn't be complaining, but we moved to boise to avoid this kind of ridiculousness, for heaven'. It just seems wrong sending your kids to school when it's 1 degree out. I've been dreaming of tropical climates and remembering our trip to mexico last may. that was warm. and fun. A teeny bit of what went down this Christmas. We'll see about that. Look lively, shepherd.
