Broken? – Far. Out.
https://recoveryalongroute66.com/2015/06/18/broken
June 18, 2015. I’ll be taking a break from writing for a while, I’m not sure how how long. Could be weeks, could be months. I’m feeling completely empty. Besides the fact I only have three squares left to do out of 88 in the granny square blanket I’ve been working on, I have absolutely nothing good to show for my life. When I look at this photo, it makes me feel more than wistful, it parks a huge lump in my throat that refuses to budge. A tourist trap—and the duck pond for a ride). With fears. I can&...

May 11, 2015. Last year, on one of his visits home from San Francisco, my brother Paul brought a t-shirt he’d bought which bore the saying “Mom loves me best.” He wore it to an outdoor picnic at which most of the family was in attendance; it was very funny and caused quite a lot of discussion. Even more funny, he left it with me when he went back! Has a huge sense of responsibility, borne out of being the oldest child. She felt more was. That lady is here! April 9, 2014. April 10, 2014. I started this A-Z blog challenge (late) just a few days ago, with such joy and high hopes. But then reality set in. The fact of the matter is I’m still terribly ill, and I fall asleep in the middle of writing. My brother the attorney warned me today that I shouldn’t even be driving because I could get arrested for driving under the influence of medication. I’m awfully tired. All the time,. And I think I perhaps made up that 2 1/2 hour window to make myself feel better.

Taking care of myself. March 11, 2014. When I feel that way, it’s usually because I’m feeling overwhelmed. Then I will remember one of these three things:. Mmmm There. Feel better? When I’m helpless, or when I get the. Be in the moment. We are too much forward-thinking and backward-thinking and not enough right-now-thinking. Stay in the now as much as you can. If you’re reading this post, really pay attention. I would take a book I’d already read and read it upside down. Be your best self. March 7, 2014.

Granny, I Think I Love You! June 3, 2015. That is. I’m in love with the granny square, as you can probably tell from this picture. What we have here are two blankets that only need the squares to be stitched together, and one partial blanket (the green and white squares on the left side). I have 54 out of 88 squares done, and then I’ll start connecting all the squares to make blankets. What do I love so much about granny squares? Oh, just so much. I think the. Rejoining The Human Race. November 8, 2015. November 8, 2015. Amazingly, it’s been almost five months since I last posted to this blog. And I pay for it! LOL I’m not sure I still remember how to do it. Have I been through some struggles in that time? Of course, but you know what? So have you, so have we all! I’ve experienced some major triumphs, too. Do tell me yours. You probably don’t know this, but there is a radio station out of Detroit (near where I live) which plays. Click to email (Opens in new wi...

March 6, 2015. March 6, 2015. Sometimes, I’m surprisingly tired in the evenings before I go to sleep and I have to stop and figure out why. With generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, social anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (just being the anxiety issues), it’s a lot to sort through. All around the room it goes, bouncing against the walls, until it comes to a very final end. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to email (Opens in new window). 20 Ways To Get Yourself Out Of That Rut. June 17, 2015. All of us get “stuck in a rut” at some point. What we do to get out is the important thing. Here are some. They’re not researched, or written in stone, or anything like that. They’re just guidelines, from me to you. 1 Change the way you normally workout. 2 When you drive home after work or school, try a different way. 3 Clean out your desk drawers, or your glove box in the car. 4 Wash your car yourself instead of taking it to the car wash.
