DCJorgensen: March 2009
http://dcjorgensen.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 15, 2009. Here is a rare picture of Tudi and I together. No offense, but we both seem to be aging. Thank goodness it's happily, with faith, family, health, friends, fun, resources and a little maturity. Kimber found a box going to Whitehorse and had to try the stuff on, in her bathing suit, in January. Go figure. Actually, in one of Jeni's recent posts, Kara was in a bathing suit. Perhaps it's wishful thinking. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This Thursday thru Sunday, Tudi was one of the cha.

DCJorgensen: May 2008

Thursday, May 22, 2008. Good Bye to Soo Bahk Do. Well, it's done. Tonight I went to karate dressed in street clothes, gave Master Trevellyan a hug, a thank you note and said good bye. Gave several other people thank you notes too. It was sure hard. I cried as I wrote the notes. Don't know what I'll do now, but trust that something will come up. I did eat delicious bag of Dove dark chocolate with almonds to drown my sorrow. That should sit well now that I'm not exercising. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Notice Ju...

Clan Buchanan: March 2013

Friday, March 15, 2013. A Brand New Anterior Cruciate Ligament. It happened. Scott had surgery on his knee and came away with a brand new Anterior Cruciate Ligament. Well, just like you say with a car - new to him, not really new. His surgery was to replace his blown out ACL with a donor ligament from a cadaver. This was so funny. Nurse: "I'm going to get you a nice, big oversized gown.". Scott: "Is that a fat joke? Maybe we were nervous, but we both laughed pretty hard. The kids demanded so much attenti...

DCJorgensen: November 2008
http://dcjorgensen.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2008. With Thanks in 2008. Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. We have so much to be grateful for - family, faith, freedom, friends, and food. We spent five beautiful days in the desert with friends, as we have for the past 8 years. We normally get away once a month, but this time it's been two and a half months, and we could really tell. It is so relaxing to just leave. Here is some of the gang at the buffet table. Thursday, November 20, 2008. And here's 3 year ol...

Under the Cover of Darkness: October 2012
http://jessicaallred.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Under the Cover of Darkness. Black is really "in" in Saudi Arabia. Tuesday, October 16, 2012. I shop at big beautiful grocery stores that look more like grocery stores in California and Utah than those in NYC. They have an assortment of cereals. The ones from the US are a little more expensive but after trying the Saudi version of coco puffs I can assure you it is worth it. The Saudi's are fond of ketchup. My students put it on EVERYTHING! Ie falafel, gyros, turkey sandwiches, pretzels etc. I dared.i...

Under the Cover of Darkness. Black is really "in" in Saudi Arabia. Tuesday, October 7, 2008. I took the bait because I have a thousand other things I need to be doing and I am stalling. Here are my responses to this tag:. Always supposed to be doing something (i.e. lesson plans, correcting student work, my own homework, research for my thesis, stuff for my calling etc) but I am very easily distracted so I end up reading blogs and doing tags that help me accomplish nothing. Great friends and family. The w...

Under the Cover of Darkness. Black is really "in" in Saudi Arabia. Friday, May 8, 2009. The First of Many. Mom and Dad have begun their East Coast Tour 2009 so my total readership has been cut in half but I will post about my birthday because I know Dad will LOVE my birthday present. So the weird thing about turning 29 is that when you tell people that you are turning 29 they think you are being coy and lying about your age, so to clarify I told them that today was my 29th birthday, the first of many!

Under the Cover of Darkness. Black is really "in" in Saudi Arabia. Thursday, March 7, 2013. On the way to Egypt I Learned about Islam and Friendliness. What it means for me is that I had two weeks off. I went to Bahrain, Oman and finally Egypt and it was wonderful! Flights out of Bahrain are cheaper and Bahrain was rumored to be lovely, so I bought the cheap tickets on the train and settled in for 4 hours. Cheap seats do NOT include windows you can actually see through. Some of the stuff I learned: Moham...
