Welcome to our world. We love being a family and we enjoy life together. Sunday, June 5, 2011. I can't believe I'm even writing a post about moving from Florida. I can't believe it for two reasons:. 1) We thought that we'd raise our kids here and we are going to miss Florida terribly. 2) We have missed Texas more than we ever thought was possible and we can't believe we are going back. Or do they just show those commercials in FL? Well, I'd equate the joy and excitement of our kids to the kids on t.v.

The Most/Least Popular Sin
http://blog.theamia.org/2015/03/20/the-mostleast-popular-sin
Conversations on living the Mission in an Anglican context. The Most/Least Popular Sin. March 20, 2015. Lucas Damoff investigates the attitude of gluttony in the second post of a Lenten series examining the seven deadly sins. So let’s go back to basics. What is gluttony? Now a criticism might come that this is an awfully draconian view of life. Doesn’t God want us to enjoy the Creation that He made? Didn’t He make food so that it was both nourishing and enjoyable to eat? To this I would say, of course!

Conversations on living the Mission in an Anglican context. Between Two Traditions: Anglican Views on Holy Communion. February 25, 2015. Catholics and Evangelicals serve as bookends to an Anglican stance on Holy Communion. The Rev. Gavin Pate of. Explores why Anglicans take a comparatively high view of the sacrament but cheerfully vary on the particulars. There are two peaks in our worship: the Word preached and Holy Communion. In contrast, the peak of a Roman-Catholic worship service is Holy Communi...

Rethinking Slothfulness
http://blog.theamia.org/2015/04/01/rethinking-slothfulness
Conversations on living the Mission in an Anglican context. April 1, 2015. Can a busy, productive person also be a sloth? In the fourth post in a Lenten series on the seven deadly sins, Lucas Damoff contends that extreme busyness rather than rest is a sign of real slothfulness. I might be very productive, but the product I created so much of wouldn’t have much value. Ultimately the same would be true even if I were to be highly skilled at making tools and implements that were useful in promoting huma...

Saturday, 22 June 2013. I am here. You have a new Vicar. I am here. You have a new Vicar. We can know that it is true for a number of reasons.
