A day in the life of two brothers...: Swim meet #5
http://thomastoday.blogspot.com/2014/07/swim-meet-5.html
A day in the life of two brothers. Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Perhaps the crazy mishap at the last meet with the piece of metal finding Thomas was a bit of foreshadowing of things to come. After Vacation Bible School on Monday the boys decided to set up their lemonade stand again (they had been cut short by bad weather and a wayward raccoon on Sunday). So they did and some friends came over to give them some business. Thomas swims personal season best freestyle exhibition. Next up, this was the first me...

A day in the life of two brothers...: April 2014

A day in the life of two brothers. Monday, April 7, 2014. Such a dreadful word it cannot even be repeated. Dust, dust. Wow. It’s been a while. Something happened last week though and my mom encouraged me (rightfully) that I must record it. So here it goes. 8221; I asked him what he said and he just kept going on and on about how he couldn’t tell me. “I just can’t do it! You are going to be so mad at me, and I promise I wasn’t trying to be mean! 160; I promise! I started telling him that I was almos...

A day in the life of two brothers...: September 2012
http://thomastoday.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
A day in the life of two brothers. Sunday, September 2, 2012. I’m not quite sure why it took us so long to get the boys to try this old summer ritual. I remember many summer days of my youth filled with jumping off the end of the dock (at quite a few docks all along the Pinopolis cove! Parker went first. Of course. And he was quickly scooped up by Papa, just as promised. Soon Thomas followed, and before long we couldn’t get them to stop! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Time in the water.

http://thomastoday.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
A day in the life of two brothers. Thursday, June 26, 2014. Let’s hope they do come in threes. 8220;Why do these things keep happening to me? 8221; Thomas cried out last night. It broke my heart. Poor kid has had a rough week! 160; First the jagged metal hanging off the broken tent post cut him last Thursday at a swim meet, then the wagon handle seemed to find his eye on Monday and then tonight, he stepped on something a few feet from our dinner table. . See that little thing right there in his heel?

A day in the life of two brothers...: City Meet 2014
http://thomastoday.blogspot.com/2014/07/city-meet-2014.html
A day in the life of two brothers. Sunday, July 20, 2014. The summer swim season officially ended (at least for the 8 and under crowd) yesterday at the conclusion of City Meet. Thomas was a bit nervous as we made our way for his 8:30 am arrival, but everyone in the tent said they didn’t notice his nerves. He was content to have some time to play on the iPad. I think that’s what they love most about swimming! 160; Thomas is in lane three (they start their lane count from the top…):. 160; Most important...

Parker was excited to be at a home meet where his group swims freestyle and backstroke. Thomas breaststroke in medley relay exhibition. Parker in lane 5. Thomas in lane 1. 160; He’s in lane 3:. A day in the life of two brothers. Saturday, April 20, 2013. It is hard wrap my mind around the fact that it has been seven years since our first son came home from the hospital in this little outfit. Seriously, is that not a doll baby’s outfit? Seven seems like a big age and I am not sure I am ready for it. In the past year, Thomas has learned to tie his shoes (finally! 8230;and he has started losing his teeth (at this point he has lost the front two teeth on the bottom)…. It and he would have no comp...

A day in the life of two brothers...: May 2014
http://thomastoday.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
A day in the life of two brothers. Thursday, May 1, 2014. I cannot believe this precious boy has been with us for eight years. This year his birthday fell on Easter Sunday. So here he was with his best buddy on his birthday. And here was his lemon cake with edible glitter, as he requested:. So another year has passed us by. While some days Thomas can be a bit of a challenge, most of the time he is a sweet-hearted boy who loves his brother dearly (when he's not fussing and bickering with him! During the w...

A day in the life of two brothers...: June 2013
http://thomastoday.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
A day in the life of two brothers. Friday, June 14, 2013. Thomas had his first swim meet yesterday. He was pretty nervous! He was chosen to be one of the four boys in the 7-8 division on his team who were swimming "for points" in the 25M freestyle. He was competing against boys who were 8 years old and he's only been 7 for not quite two months.so I think he did great! He had a great time, and he told me when we were leaving that he already knows he wants to do swim team next year and the year after that!

A day in the life of two brothers...: May 2013
http://thomastoday.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
A day in the life of two brothers. Thursday, May 2, 2013. I just realized that I never did an update for Parker on his 4th birthday and I feel terrible about it. I won’t make the same mistake this year! 160; So here we are… Even though he is as tall as some of Thomas’ seven year old friends, it is still hard for me to believe that it has been five years since our little baby was born! He loves it and rides it daily. Thomas likes to ride it too. He’s a bit jealous of his brothe...His oddest snack requ...
