Friday, November 28, 2008. On Thursday my cousin Margaret and her two girls, Sophie and Isabel came from Arizona for the festivities - Katherine loved being with them. She showed them all of her toys and they were kind enough to play with her. When they left she kept asking, "where are my cousins? It was a great few days, and this morning we slept in, ate leftovers for breakfast, and danced in our pajamas! How often do you have a day like that? Sheena, Pete, Katherine and Lauren. Monday, December 1, 2008. Every day I am surprised by something Katherine says. One of the funny things Katherine has recently begun to ask is,"Are you happy? She asks this after we have scolded her for something, or if we say something strongly to her. The conversation goes something like this."Katherine, sit down at table." "Are you happy? No, I'm not happy. Please sit down." "Sorry mommy." It gets me everytime - I know I shouldn't laugh, but I just can't help it! Sheena, Pete, Katherine and Lauren.

Monday, February 16, 2009. 30 days go so quickly, Part 2. And in the last 30 days.or so, we had a presidential election - YAY! And Katherine and I watched all the festivities for hours that day. Thursday, April 2, 2009. On March 7, we celebrated Katherine's birthday with 25, or so, of her closest friends and their parents! Yes, we are crazy. We tried to limit the amount of children, but Katherine kept inviting more people! She's a very social girl - shy, but likes to be around people. So, we had everyone at our house - in the backyard. Friday, August 28, 2009. Eliza is now 17 months, and her personality is really coming out! She is becoming much more independent now. She doesn't even want me to feed her or brush her teeth. She has to do it all by herself! These days she is. Pretty well-behaved. She definitely has her moments, but overall, she is a wonderful child and a good listener. Sunday, June 21, 2009. Happy Father's Day to Andrew, a wonderful husband and father! Eliza is truly blessed to have such a loving and fun daddy! Friday, March 27, 2009. We have found that Eliza has many different laughs. She is certainly not a one-laugh woman. Here is one of her latest and greatest (you have to watch for a few minutes). She is also quite chatty in this video. So Eliza is quite in love with our closet. Thursday, February 19, 2009. Eliza has recently learned to wave and say (sort of) bye-bye. It is absolutely adorable, and she is very proud of herself. She loves to wave at anyone, and she is certainly not afraid of waving to strangers. Last night, she waved goodbye to all the people in the restaurant as we were leaving!
