Gluten free vegan recipes and vegan life. Tuesday, 30 June 2015. Felt like a real traditional English vegan fish 'n' chip supper which wouldn't be complete without mushy peas! Original recipe from Jamie Oliver. I served mine with home style fries, Fishy Tofu Fingers. Dill pickles and Follow Your Heart Tartar Sauce (below). 2 Tbls vegan butter. 2 cups peas (I used frozen organic). 1 small handful fresh mint leaves. 1 squeeze lemon juice. Gluten free vegan recipes and vegan life. Sunday, 19 October 2014. I had some vanilla pods left after making vanilla sugar that need something doing to them so I'm trying to make my own vanilla extract. I got this recipe from The Kitchn. After a month i'll know if it worked! 3 to 5 vanilla beans. 8 ounces alcohol such as vodka, bourbon, brandy, or rum. Cutting board and knife. Clean jar or bottle. New bottle(s) for packaging (optional). Or leave the pods in the extract: You can also leave the beans in th...

Yarn, Ho!: Introspection
http://northeastyarnho.blogspot.com/2009/04/introspection.html
Sporadic updates of my continuous foray into the world of yarn and needles. Socks are a personal favorite, but there's pretty much no knitting technique I won't try, so bring it on! Tuesday, April 21, 2009. It never ceases to amaze me, as humans, the sheer amount of information we fire off on a weekly, daily, hourly basis. And yet, for all of this, how much do we really say. How much of what we shoot off into electronic space is real communication? Music: Mutemath - Spotlight. Aspiring writer, avid reade...

Sporadic updates of my continuous foray into the world of yarn and needles. Socks are a personal favorite, but there's pretty much no knitting technique I won't try, so bring it on! Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Here's Davy Jones singing 'It's Been Lonesome in the Saddle Since My Horse Died'! You know those times in life when absolutely everything that can go wrong, does? But I have been persevering. Between determination and startitis, some good things have been happening on the needles. I've been wearing ...

YVONNE131321: School is over but life is still just as busy
http://yvonne131321.blogspot.com/2013/05/school-is-over-but-life-is-still-just.html
Friday, May 31, 2013. School is over but life is still just as busy. My dear and close friend rosie introduced me recently to a geology major. My first instinct, "WTF who wants to play with rocks all day. weirdo", but being the polite me that I am I asked "what made you choose that ". This is where the ahhahh moment came in. Her response. If you know me well enough by now you know my down fall unfortunately is! Well enough venting and rambling ( I am at work after all ). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Vegan Korean: June 2010
http://thevegankorean.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
From Berkeley to Bakersfield. Thursday, June 3, 2010. Today my mother was telling me she can't find good Korean food blogs, so we are on a mission to bring good authentic Korean home cooking to the world. This is a picture guide to making "Kimbop," or Korean seaweed wrapped rice rolls. A note: your first roll is not going to be perfect! First steam a few cups of white sticky rice ( sushi rice. Works best). Then gather your favorite fillings, examples are soy meat. Seasoned with rice vinegar. Now the tric...
