We carried food, fuel and high altitude climbing gear up to Camp 1 at 15,300 feet and then returned to base camp for the night. The team at Camp 1. The team was moving well and feeling really strong. We had plenty of time today to enjoy the sunny, warm weather and took a long lunch break before heading back down to base camp.

We made great time, 6 hours to the summit, and 2 hours back down to high camp. Everyone did a fantastic job, and rallied for another 4 hours down to Mweka camp at 10k feet. We were exhausted, but happy to be breathing the oxygenated air! Today we woke up early and headed down to the Mweka gate, where we had lunch, singing, and dancing with our crew! March 10, 2015.
