Wednesday, 2 December 2009. I have hung up the cyling boots for a couple of months and have settled into Bishkek, the capital of the smallest 'stan, Kyrgzstan. At present i am teaching english 4 times a week. Twice to the children who work at the markets in Bishkek and twice a week to boys who have left one of orphanges and are being helped out by the Alpine fund to settle into thier new lives. These are just a few of the photo highlights from a ten month cycle tour in 2006-2007, through Central Asia, visiting the countries of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, China, Tibet and Nepal then on to South East Asia. The cycle tour was part of a two person expedition which included eight days of horse packing over the Tien Shan mountains. Further descriptions of our tours will follow. Crazy guy on a bike.
