The Elk River Valley to Landslide land it pretty easy, most well maintained trail to the landslide lake. The route/trail around landslide lake isnt or wasnt maintained when I was there last.time, but the way around was still no problem and was worth the time. Ill do it again anytime. The upper Valley ending to the Valley end, it way more rugged and the lower section. be prepared and take your time and watch your footing and have a great time. Things You Can See. Awesome Hike, not easy! But well worht the views and hardship of this hike. at times route finding along this route is what the F! With some good views. of the area. It didnt think it was to strenuous of a hike. a steep start or finish on either end of the ridge after the the kind of steep start, it was ok. Bring your Water, not much drinkable water on the ridge. any water you do use off the ridge, boil. One of the more challenging Routes in the park as far as route finding goes. But it is still a route to do, lots of awesome views to see as your wander around the heart of Strathcona Park. If you can try and plan to do the the Phillips right when the Wild Flowers are blooming and your be treated with alpine meadows that will be awash with colours. Personally the Marbles Meadows. 55km with Mt McBride summit. 4 to 6 days. Max Elevation gain 1600 to 1900m (with Mt McBride summit).
