Heather's Sketches: Men talk of killing time...
http://heatherwonder.blogspot.com/2008/04/men-talk-of-killing-time.html
Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Men talk of killing time. This was the first exercise of the year. We had to experiment with combining images and including text. I actually really enjoyed this assignment and I like the way it turned out. I am impressed with the textures that I could achieve with a computer. I think that I might try to focus on texture as a theme for the course. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Men talk of killing time. I started taking a photoshop class a few months ag.

Heather's Sketches: Abstract painting
http://heatherwonder.blogspot.com/2008/04/abstract-painting.html
Wednesday, April 2, 2008. This is an abstract painting done with photoshop. We were limited to using only two colours and I thought that red and black would compliment each other and look luxurious. I used both the paintbrush tool and the smudge tool. I kind of like it.I think that it sort of looks like drapery. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Men talk of killing time. Heather's Sketches: Digital Painting
http://heatherwonder.blogspot.com/2008/04/digital-painting.html
Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Okay, here are some different versions of a digital painting that we had to do for class. I chose to work with images of a graveyard because I find them to be very peaceful and oddly hopeful. I think that cemeteries have a beauty that is often overlooked because they are thought to be creepy, -but I enjoy them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Men talk of killing time. Heather's Sketches: Playing with words
http://heatherwonder.blogspot.com/2008/04/playing-with-words.html
Wednesday, April 2, 2008. This is my favourite quote! We were supposed to take a piece of text and create a piece of art with it. The final composition didn't have to be readable but mine is because I really appreciate these words. I chose colours that I like and added the blue for emphasis to reflect the way the quote talks about Christians being different. SECURITY CENTER: Look Please Here. April 3, 2008 at 8:16 PM. Heather's Sketches: September 2007
http://heatherwonder.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 24, 2007. This is the final piece! Labels: Great is Gods Faithfulness. Thursday, September 20, 2007. This was my original idea, but I wasn't sure whether it was too simple so in my next drafts I tried to ground the piece a bit more. I tried to introduce text to the piece. I chose the words "thy hand hath provided" rather than "great is thy faithfulness," because I felt that it is more 'subtly effective.' I'm not yet sure of the placement. I don't know if it is too distracting.
