Sunday, April 30, 2006. So we are almost finished. We are once again back in Chiang Mai and the group leaves May 2 and I leave May 10. I will be doing a tour of norther thailand instead because Laos would take longer than expected to get to and i do not want to stay here any longer than the extra 8 days.I miss every one. Sunday, October 05, 2008. The government in Burma is much different from the US and way more authoritarian. It was easy to see that when you cross the border. My lao friend gave the polica and American $10 to cross the border ( you pay $10 or 500THB and right now $10 is less than 500THB). It was one of the new $10 with a bit of color in it. How much is that doggie in the window? This is Gizmo's favorite place to sit. Our apartment is in an old brick building and we have really deep window sills. Perfectly sized for a puppy butt! He will sit there for hours or until someone comes into the house. His favorite part of the day is watching all the kids go to and from school. We are just a street down from the high school so there's a lot for him to look at. He also likes to wake Jason up in the morning and they are so cute! Maybe if I try this.

Party All The Time! This weekend I helped my brother and sister celebrate their birthdays. My brother, Brian, turned the big *30* and my sister, Brenda, turned 26. I think my mom planned it that way so it would be easier on her, less dates to remember. Really it was just a coincidence! We went out for Chinese food and then went back to my mom and her fiance, John's, house for dessert. To the vet we go! We took the kids to the doctor this week. Meeko did not want to go. Between Jason and I, it took 4 tries to get her into the carrier. She's tiny but boy, does she put up a good fight! We both got scratched and covered with cat hair, but we finally succeeded. I think we could have made a whole other cat with the hair she left on us, it just kept coming off! I'm surprised she has any left! We also made an appointment to have Gizmo neutered, only 7 days of manliness left! That kind of day.
