Parenting by hook or crook. Friday, May 15, 2015. Seconda's learning about birds in school and had a homework assignment in which she had to write about the morning dove. She did it. But she spelled it "mourning dove.". I'm concerned about Seconda," I told David, "Why would she automatically opt for mourning instead of morning? That seems so bleak and macabre.". Are you sure that's not how it's spelled? And then I googled it and Seconda was totally right. What kind of a doom-and-gloomer named that animal?

A mom among men. 8221; I knew immediately what she was asking and every question that came after that made it only clearer. I taught in a special- ed inclusive classroom when I was a teacher. I taught children with autism and asperger’s. I knew where she was going and I refused to go there. Autism. High functioning Autism. It was there on the paper. The criteria were scientifically checked off and mathematically added up. The tears came then as they still do now. Why? How did I ignore it for so long?

I always liked opening up your cards because, they weren’t just cards, they were mini-letters written in your cursive hand, sweet, pretty, sincere. You always put, “T” quotation marks when you signed cards and letters. I always loved that because, your quotation marks said to me, “this is a nickname but, it is not all that I am”. You put on Strawberry Shortcake and , you watched it with me. I loved you for that.

A Mom and 2 Things. Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Iron Craft '14 #2- Get it Together. This week for Iron Craft we were challenged to either create something to help us get organized OR we could organize our craft area. I choose the second option.
