A Mum Shaped Hole: I'm still here!
http://amumshapedhole.blogspot.com/2012/09/im-still-here.html
A Mum Shaped Hole. I have two blogs, a funny one and a serious one. This is the serious one. Tuesday, 18 September 2012. My friend Linda lost her dear husband, Neil, earlier this year. Today she is on parentdish talking about how to help children grieve for a loved one. Linda has also started to blog about her experience of grief and how her family are rebuilding their lives. You can find it here. Laura - Are We Nearly There Yet Mummy? 18 September 2012 at 09:53. 18 September 2012 at 10:07. Just dropping...

A Mum Shaped Hole. I have two blogs, a funny one and a serious one. This is the serious one. Tuesday, 18 May 2010. When Mum died I was at middle school, where I would stay until I was 11. I spent two years surrounded by teachers and pupils who knew that my mum had died. High school and beyond was different. As social circles grew and changed there would inevitably be the 'getting to know you questions' . Do you have any pets? Yes we have a dog. Where do you live? Just down the road in Blahville. The only...

SW6 mum with 2 children, 1 cat and 0 husband doing her best to keep believing that in the end all will be well, despite signs to the contrary. Wednesday, 9 September 2009. The one about the elephant . I'm in a terrible 'flying-by-the-seat-of-my-pants-and-only-just-managing-to hold-it-together' breathless rush at the moment, so no time for anything, other than this:. An elephant met a mouse in the jungle. The mouse said, 'Bloody hell, you're absolutely enormous.'. 11 September 2009 at 22:04. No Am just tr...

SW6 mum with 2 children, 1 cat and 0 husband doing her best to keep believing that in the end all will be well, despite signs to the contrary. Saturday, 3 October 2009. In my opinion he wasn't sexy back then, either. (There are just so many things that I want to say about this photo like. What in God's name are they wearing? Isn't Australia meant to be a hot country? But I'm not going to allow myself to go there.). That Brixton Man would have. Much like Brixton Man that when he first shimmied onto the st...

SW6 mum with 2 children, 1 cat and 0 husband doing her best to keep believing that in the end all will be well, despite signs to the contrary. Monday, 7 September 2009. How NOT to sunbathe. My friend took this photo a few sunny Saturdays ago when we were in Embankment Gardens, down by the Thames. Honey Sweetheart. Lovely girl. If, by some bizarre, freakish, cosmically crazy coincidence, you. To be one of my nine* followers, you need to know:. 2 When you lie down in a short skirt, your bottom will. To be ...

SW6 mum with 2 children, 1 cat and 0 husband doing her best to keep believing that in the end all will be well, despite signs to the contrary. Friday, 18 September 2009. And now I have to write seven things about myself, following the receipt, earlier today, of a lovely award from the kind (but perhaps not terribly discerning) Looking Fab in your Forties. Many thanks, Fab. You have made me (needy, with obvious self-esteem issues) terribly, terribly happy. Have an especially large nose.). 6 I think - afte...

SW6 mum with 2 children, 1 cat and 0 husband doing her best to keep believing that in the end all will be well, despite signs to the contrary. Wednesday, 23 September 2009. I've received an email from Ruby's mother. Shit shit. Ruby (not her real name) was the little girl we met on holiday in Malta. After we arrived home, I rang the NSPCC to voice my concerns about her welfare. I wrote about it in an earlier post, here. God knows how her mother found my email address? Her actions are that of a sulky moody...

SW6 mum with 2 children, 1 cat and 0 husband doing her best to keep believing that in the end all will be well, despite signs to the contrary. Saturday, 13 June 2009. Oh crap. What a day. Though it now seems that my mom's cancer was in all likelihood the result of faulty genes (her sister died of breast cancer a year later and a whole raft of first cousins went and go it, too) Eldest Daughter now thinks that everyone who smokes will die a ghastly death. So I didn't die in my bed this morning (though, giv...

SW6 mum with 2 children, 1 cat and 0 husband doing her best to keep believing that in the end all will be well, despite signs to the contrary. Friday, 4 September 2009. A really bad thing. A really bad thing happened on our recent holiday to Malta. What Happened on Night Six. All names have been changed):. My girls and I felt sorry for Ruby: she was very timid, seemed afraid of. SW6 mum with 2 children, 1 cat and 0 husband doing her best to keep believing that in the end all will be well, despite signs to the contrary. Sunday, 30 August 2009. Sorry This is much too long. I have been away from my blog for almost a month and it appears that I now have verbal (non-verbal? Diarrhoea as a result. But having spent absolute ages trying to get it 'right' (and I still don't feel that I have), I simply can't bring myself to edit it down. Sorry. Palace and you know the maharajah. Lesson #2...

A mum's internal monologue | a general ramble through my thoughts
A mum's internal monologue. A general ramble through my thoughts. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. The Truth About Pregnancy. The Truth About Giving Birth. The Truth About Newborns. Well, it’s clear now – I’m barren, my ovaries are unfruitful and my uterus a desolate waste land. I’m unproductive, obviously too old and shriveled to be any good. I’ve come to the conclusion that the boy was my last good egg (but what an egg)! Night night sleep tight. I have always dreaded the night that p...
MY COOKBOOK!!
Wednesday, 24 July 2013. Back to blogging after a long break! Sorry to all my readers for the delayed post and to all my blogger friends for not keeping track of their posts! My daughter loves chicken nuggets, but it never struck me that I could give her homemade ones and that too baked! So I came across this recipe on Rasa Malaysia's. Its definitely a keeper! So easy and quick. Best part is, it can be made without those looong marination hours! They were so crisp and tender :). 3/4 cup bread crumbs.
