Amy's Australian Adventure

Monday, February 12, 2007. Well we've been home a month now, and I'm finally getting around to posting the last of the Oz pictures. I'm sorry it took me so long. We've had a rough time adjusting back to US time! A lot of these pictures are of the girl's baptism; and seeing as Amy was busy getting baptised and all, most of them are not taken with her camera. This first one is though - this is Amy before the baptism in her be-yoo-tiful new linen dress and hat, on the grounds outside the church. With Sharre...

Amy's Australian Adventure

http://amygoesoutback.blogspot.com/2007/01/well-this-week-camera-ran-out-of.html

Tuesday, January 02, 2007. Well this week the camera ran out of batteries. Mum and dad put new batteries in it, but a lot of this week we don't have pictures. One thing I did take pictures of is the day when mum and dad's friends Mal and Kath came over. They had a girl my age named Steph, and a baby Iris' age named Ronan. It was really fun! This is mommy and Iris while they were talking to friends. Mummy was really happy. This is Steph. We played cricket outside! She made me laugh. Really loud. After...

http://amygoesoutback.blogspot.com/2006/12/we-started-out-going-to-airport-and-i.html

Wednesday, December 20, 2006. We started out going to the airport and I took pictures of the airport. We had to wait a while, but I watched the planes and sat with Mama and Iris. And after we were on the plane we went on a train around Denver airport before we got on another plane to California. We had to wait for Grammie and Papa to pick us up at the airport. There were lots of cars and taxis that went past while we waited. But we had snacks to keep us going while we waited. This is my Grammie.

Friday, December 22, 2006. After a few days in California with Grammie and Papa we got on another plane and went for a long long long time. I mean a LONG time. It was late and we were crowded and uncomfortable. But we made it and finally the plane landed and we were in Australia! We had to wait in lots of long lines to get through immigration and customs. Sure glad we got those new passports. Here I am waiting in the airport enjoying my camera. I took lots of pictures of them all. Iris and I have our own...

Amy's Australian Adventure: December 2006

http://amygoesoutback.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 28, 2006. It was Christmas in Australia! Christmas Eve night we went to church. It was so crowded but so pretty. Iris and I loved the music and I sang "GlooooOOOoooOOoooOOoo - ria" for the next few days. Here we are driving up to the church. After church we all went back to my house and had dinner together. Iris really liked her uncle Matt. Here he is having dinner with her. We set out santa packs and cookies, and while we were asleep Santa came! Here's his big tail up. It was huge!

Amy Goes Away

Places I've been, places I'm going, and places I need to go. Sunday, May 12, 2013. I had a dream. I got on the plane a few days ago in Philadelphia with high expectations. It was the beginning of making my dream come true. I dream that instead of sitting at a desk in a suburban office complex I write. I write a memoir, a heart warming, amusing and insightful memoir and I write it from my new home somewhere far away from suburbia, maybe Rome, possibly Bangkok, or even Shanghai. It was only a matter of tim...

Amy Goes Green

Thursday, August 25, 2011. I had to stop my castile soap and ACV shampoo method. A while back when the smell got to my ultra-sensitive first trimester nose. But now I'm happy to report that today I have gone back to the clean way and it smells wonderful! So I thought I'd revisit my method with a step-by-step. 1 Shampoo hair with a 1:1 ratio of castile soap (I use Dr. Bronner's) and water. 2 Rinse thoroughly with water. Your hair will feel tangly and messy, but don't worry. 4 Rinse thoroughly with water.

Amy Goes Green | Adventures at Moss-a-lot

A walk finding treasures…. October 1, 2012. Even though we live in the city, there is plenty of nature around us to enjoy. And in Autumn, there’s even more ways to enjoy nature than just by talking walks. There were lots of pickings…. From left top, clockwise: rosehip, elderberries, poppy seed pods and some (not visible) Chinese lanters, and last but not least: sloe berries. It’s in the cupboard and gets a shake each day. This should be ready and lovely for Christmas! Recipe… ish, as I used Marmell...

Amy Goes Ninja on MS | The story about that one time MS had to sit down and shut up.

The story about that one time MS had to sit down and shut up. Amy Goes Ninja on MS. Kinda Like a Sunburn. Twenty minutes was about all it took to leave me lobster red. Please stop touching me! Stop asking me dumb questions that you could answer yourself! Let me check out of life until I feel better! If you’ve ever had a sunburn, you still don’t know what it is like to have MS, but I think that in some way you can appreciate the constant, nagging undercurrent of torture that MS is for so many. Pronounced 'yassas,' that's hello in Greek). And welcome to my sophomore website dedicated to studying abroad during Summer 2010. From May 30 to June 29, I will be studying abroad all over Greece with Dr. Barnes from Missouri's Classical Humanities Department to finish up the final credits as the grand finale. To my second degree, which just happens to be Classics, of course. Now that I am back from Greece, I miss it already. It was beautiful and I really did have the time of my life.
