What I’ve Done. An American girl in Prague. Abroad in the Czech Republic, taking everyone with me. Getting to poland, getting to Auschwitz and Birkenau. June 24, 2012. It ended up being a long journey and I only got about an hour straight of sleep, but at times it was really fun and i did enjoy the feeling of being on the tracks. we stopped a lot, and at one point we stopped for over 2 hours, but we got to Krakow on time and had time to kill before our tour picked us up. What I’ve Done. An American girl in Prague. Abroad in the Czech Republic, taking everyone with me. Cooling off in Krakow. June 24, 2012. The train ride back was exceedingly more comfortable than the ride there (Seeing as we finally got our two person suite and beds) and before i knew it, i was back in Prague. It was an amazing experience and I cannot believe that it was my last weekend trip here in Europe. I can now officially say to Wendell and my family, “I will see you later this week! June 24, 2012.

What I’ve Done. An American girl in Prague. Abroad in the Czech Republic, taking everyone with me. What I’ve Done. SO i realized about 3 weeks into the trip that my to-do list was created without really knowing the city of Prague itself, let alone what trips i’d want to/be able to take on the weekend. so, instead of getting stressed out about my lack of crossed-off to-dos, here is a list of things I HAVE done (albeit a VERY condensed list) that I never even thought I would do. Been to zurich (if only in ...

An American Girl in Ghana
An American Girl in Ghana. Monday, April 30, 2012. 8220;Most good travel stories are about discovering the unexpected. The traveler goes abroad with an illusion, the illusion is shattered, but then she learns something new, and after assorted challenges and humiliations, she achieves a satisfying epiphany.”. So what did I learn? Less can truly be more. Empathy is something people need to actively work on continually strengthening. Trying to impose your priorities upon others doesn’t generally work. Saturday, July21, 2013, Mike’s Coffee, Denton, Texas, The United States of America, 11:20 AM. I have been home now for four days, and I am emotionally and physically exhausted. Physically because I still have jet-lag and have not slept more than five hours in one night. Emotionally… wll, that is pretty self-explanatory. So how do I end this blog? Aside from everything, the one thing I am always ...

An American Girl in London
Friday, July 04, 2008. Living in London, I do happen to see celebrities every now and again. So from now on, when I do I will post it here. Yesterday while driving past The Ritz, I saw Adam Campbell standing on on the sidewalk either waiting for a taxi or a bus. I really hope it was a bus because celebrities riding buses is just the best. Admittedly, I didn't know what his name was but I immediately recognized him from Date Movie and Epic Movie. I think he is married to an actress on Ugly Betty. The inte...

An American Girl in Shanghai
An American Girl in Shanghai. Thursday, May 7, 2015. Our Spring Outing: Adventures at the Shanghai Zoo. In China, people view outings as a time for professional bonding. Like many companies, Chinese public schools have entire school. Field trips to various museums, parks, and other interesting places twice a year. In years past I have taken this day to create my perfect day. However this year I enjoyed the Shanghai zoo with my first graders. Here are some highlights from the trip. And my third graders!
