An American Girl in Ghana: Bechem

http://anamericangirlinghana.blogspot.com/2012/04/bechem.html

An American Girl in Ghana. Friday, April 27, 2012. The simple truth is that you can understand a town. You can know and love and hate it. You can blame it, resent it, and nothing changes. In the end, you're just another part of it.” - Brenna Yovanoff. I loved these little orange flowers that blossomed throughout town. That yellow umbrella near the car is a phone credit stand. These were everywhere for all of the different networks throughout Ghana. Going to Sunyani, I jumped in a taxi for 2.50ghc. Three ...

An American Girl in Ghana. Friday, March 30, 2012. To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear." - Buddha. The big-dogs from the office of the organization I work for came to visit the other day. Upon entering the principal's office, they told me that I looked “fresh”. I will gladly accept that compliment. Thank you very much! My lifestyle right now is likely the healthiest it has ever been. I sleep at least nine hours every night. For me, t...

An American Girl in France

An American Girl in France. Wednesday, December 4, 2013. But I know this much is true. I know I have family and friends (including those of you reading this) to lean on along the way. I know I have my faith in God and a (sometimes wavering) belief that things will work out as they are supposed to. And I know that I will always have Paris. It will always be a place that I can go to (albeit not as often as I would like) to be reminded of who I am, what I value, and how very blessed I am. We would around th...

An American Girl in London

Friday, July 04, 2008. Living in London, I do happen to see celebrities every now and again. So from now on, when I do I will post it here. Yesterday while driving past The Ritz, I saw Adam Campbell standing on on the sidewalk either waiting for a taxi or a bus. I really hope it was a bus because celebrities riding buses is just the best. Admittedly, I didn't know what his name was but I immediately recognized him from Date Movie and Epic Movie. I think he is married to an actress on Ugly Betty. The inte...
