https://andycavatorta.com/2014/08/01/the-violina
The Violina for Stella Artois. The Violina is part of the Stella Artois Chalice Symphony. It plays music by bowing tuned Stella Artois chalices with a circular bow of Mongolian horse hair. The player can play any combination of 18 chalices and quickly adjust the pressure and bow speed to create many voices and nuances. This video preview was produced by Stella Artois. The photo below is of the first. That is one handsome horse wheel. Photo by Karl Biewald. Adding the pins, Photo by Green Card Pictures.

Opera Think Tank: July 2011
http://operathinktank.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Pushing the boundaries of opera in a new century. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Falstaff Bursts through Boston - July 15-24! Set in the 'Me" decade of the 1970s, this hilarious farce is an ode to mafia dons, feminine mystique, boogie nights, and the dusk of Aquarius. And it all goes down in a 1914 vaudeville house with full orchestra, where you can bring the beer into the show and even have your own cupholder! Just keep the concessions away from Big Belly! Ada Smith, and Andrea Lauer. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
