I actually really enjoyed this assignment and I like the way it turned out. I am impressed with the textures that I could achieve with a computer. So here's a photo i restored, and a version with a bit more style :). This is the image I choose when told I had to find a self-portrait to mimic, - not exactly typical, but I like it. Degas is probably my favourite artist of all time; I love his colours and the way he captures things you wouldn't normally be drawn to. So this assignment involved creating a movie, set to music, that merged 10 or more images (which could be altered using Photoshop) and scanned items. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

So this assignment involved creating a movie, set to music, that merged 10 or more images (which could be altered using Photoshop) and scanned items. I was really stuck on this one,. no inspiration. Finally I came up with the idea of clocks , then a song came to me,. and well, here's the result. I wish I had had more time for this, but you can only do so much. I scanned my alarm clock, while it was plugged in, adjusted some of the photos to increase the momentum of the images. View my complete profile.

Wednesday, April 2, 2008. This is an abstract painting done with photoshop. We were limited to using only two colours and I thought that red and black would compliment each other and look luxurious. I chose to work with images of a graveyard because I find them to be very peaceful and oddly hopeful. Wednesday, April 2, 2008. This is my favourite quote! We were supposed to take a piece of text and create a piece of art with it. The final composition didn't have to be readable but mine is because I really appreciate these words. This assignment involved taking a photo and inverting or changing the colours to create a digital painting. I used the paint bucket tool to spill a magenta colour (which I picked up from the bench) in the wrought iron and a blue colour (from the iron) into the snow.
