http://emmawhittle-graphics.blogspot.com/2011/03/task-two-100-years-of-gf-smith-paper.html
Emmawhitte .graphic design. Sunday, 6 March 2011. Task Two - 100 years of GF Smith Paper. After finishing Task 1 its now time to get crackin' with Task 2 - a poster to celebrate 100 years of GF Smith paper. I decided to look at their website to get a feel of what type of things they produce and what their company is about. Their website portrays quite a minimalistic feel, usually with one focal point, some examples of this from their website are. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

These are some pictures of flowers which i took at the winter gardens, i wanted to look at the different shapes different types of flowers had, and also wanted to consider size and texture. I wanted to create something which was quite simple. but had the wow factor. View my complete profile.

emmawhitte .graphic design: March 2011
http://emmawhittle-graphics.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Emmawhitte .graphic design. Monday, 7 March 2011. So after playing around with the design, and adding to the background of the piece, i decided that this outcome was far more eye catching than the other two. The font decreases in size bringing the attention to the top of the type and leading it down to the bottom. I feel that this piece portrays the message and cleverly incorporates the paper which it is advertising to do so. Sunday, 6 March 2011. Developing my final poster. So after many more hours rese...

emmawhitte .graphic design: Type using paper?
http://emmawhittle-graphics.blogspot.com/2011/03/type-using-paper.html
Emmawhitte .graphic design. Sunday, 6 March 2011. After looking at artists and designers for the first task, i had already decided that i wanted to incorporate type into my poster using the paper. An artist that does this beautifully is Yulia Brodskaya. I have looked into her work closer earlier on my blog but wanted to look again at the way she uses type as a main feature within her work. emmawhitte .graphic design: Richard Sweeney workshop 2&3.
http://emmawhittle-graphics.blogspot.com/2011/03/ideas.html
Emmawhitte .graphic design. Saturday, 5 March 2011. Richard Sweeney workshop 2&3. In the Second and Third workshop we had with Richard Sweeney we moved on from a small A5 sized piece of paper and became a bit more adventurous with the paper. The second workshop was all about creating emphasis and texture on the paper. Unlike the first workshop we were allowed to use adhesive to join the edges of the paper together this time. Here are some pictures of the pieces produced in the workshop.

Today I Wore My Hair Up.: The Beginning Bit
http://catowendesign.blogspot.com/2011/05/beginning-bit.html
Today I Wore My Hair Up. Wednesday, 4 May 2011. One of the alterations I wanted to do was begin my animation as a blank background and gradually reveal the figure. I manage to to do this by masking the first few frames on photoshop. Posted by Cat Owen. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Graphic Design for the win! View my complete profile. Try Try Again: March 2011
http://jonscreatondesign.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Monday, 14 March 2011. I'm really pleased with how my poster turned out. I feel it portrays a vintage feel, suitable for marking 100 years as well as having a modern twist, letting the viewer know it's a current poster. Monday, March 14, 2011. Task 1, signed and sealed. Well, we're all up to date on task 1 now. Everything I've mentioned on here has been expanded on in my sketchbook. Now then, let's take a look at task 2. Monday, March 14, 2011. Task 1 Final Piece. Today I Wore My Hair Up.: May 2011
http://catowendesign.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Today I Wore My Hair Up. Thursday, 5 May 2011. Step 2: FINAL ANIMATION. Posted by Cat Owen. Step 1: "Red Beating Heart, Walking Figure and Crazy Background". To begin my animation process I thought the best option was getting the basics in. Seen as the walking figure and beating heart are throughout the animation I started with creating the full 29 second animation with these aspects in the right order and with the right timing. So far so good! Posted by Cat Owen. Wednesday, 4 May 2011. Posted by Cat Owen.

Try Try Again: Task 1 Final Piece
http://jonscreatondesign.blogspot.com/2011/03/task-1-final-piece.html
Monday, 14 March 2011. Task 1 Final Piece. I wanted to photograph this piece as though underwater. I therefore shot it against a black background with numerous lights at various angles creating a scattered light effect. I'm genuinely pleased with this this outcome as I feel my research shines through and helped me develop a unique and interesting structure. Monday, March 14, 2011. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
