A.J.H. Works in Progress

My name is Andrew. This is my blog. WITH plenty of skulls and hillbilly know-how*. An Attempt at Going Responsive. I would start by saying that I’ve finally hit the web (in some capacity). This would be half truth and half spin. I started this corner of the web awhile ago (years? To serve as a “playground” and to showcase my work and thoughts…A blog…. Read More →. QuotCrush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of the women.&quot.

Needle | Andrew Haynes | Interactive + Graphic Design

Needle is simply a response to bloated music players. This is perfect for those who enjoy listening to music. There is no sharing, no related artists, no distractions, no user accounts and no internet connection needed. The concept is simple. Sync music to your mobile device, fire up Needle, and just let the music play. Much like a turn-table and the long player. Hayslab No. 97.

Studio Stygia | Andrew Haynes | Interactive + Graphic Design

http://www.andrewhaynes.net/stygia.html

A place of experiment, exploration and development, Studio Stygia is the moniker of my own studio space. The reason for developing this identity was to allow for separation between art and design. Stygia serves as both a studio space for myself, and a repository of art and illustration for public digestion. Sketchbooks, business cards, and mini portfolios were all part of this project. Hayslab No. 97.

Hayslab No. 97 | Andrew Haynes | Interactive + Graphic Design

http://www.andrewhaynes.net/hayslab.html

Hayslab No. 97. Hayslab is a typeface developed for personal use. This is a slab-serif display face, with several variants and used throughout my personal branding. It is the result of a combination of far east architecture, wood-cut type and Albrecht Dürer's monogram. As of right now there are no plans of releasing this typeface to the public. Hayslab No. 97.

HSKC | Andrew Haynes | Interactive + Graphic Design

http://www.andrewhaynes.net/hskc.html

This was a student project. The project involved creating a responsive one page website for a maker of quality folding knives. Though the HSKC does not exist, this is a still an example of, and exercise in, content creation, front-end design and development. A practical example. Hayslab No. 97.

Andrew Hayes PR | All Things PR & Reputation

All Things PR and Reputation. Public Relations & Reputation. It’s interesting to see that as we close another year – we do so captivated by stories in the media of absolute PR blunders. 2014 started with us talking about Paula Deen. And Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. 2015 looks to open with us talking about Bill Cosby. And what I’m already labeling as the BIGGEST. Corporate blunder of the year: Sony. 8216;s incredible mishandling of the North Korean email scandal and hacking and its decision to not air. Again H...

Andrew Haynes' Weblog | Just another WordPress.com weblog

Andrew Haynes' Weblog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. On Being A Stag. March 11, 2013. Whilst being incredibly excited about my forthcoming nuptials, I am only too aware that I am slightly older than the average prospective groom and can’t help feeling a bit silly about some of the rituals that go with the occasion. I was able to convince him that a very small amount of macho-ness would be all I could muster at my age and that doing things which kept us gently occupied and reduced the time available ...

Moving Away from Android. Moving on from Posterous. This is my first post using Jekyll as my blogging engine. With posterous shutting down, I felt like I had to find a new alternative. I don’t blog often, but I wanted a system that I felt like would last, in case the next site I chose shut down, too. That means that my system should be self-hosted, if necessary. Like most developers (I assume), I spend the majority of my workspace staring at a terminal window. You know, like this:. It's been a while.
