The Cozy Quilter: Sewing with Hank and Frank
http://thecozyquilter.blogspot.com/2015/08/sewing-with-hank-and-frank.html
Saturday, August 1, 2015. Sewing with Hank and Frank. Hank has been visiting our house for the last 10 days with his friend, Skye. Skye likes to chew on Hank and make him squeak, which is especially popular before 6am. This week, Skye shook Hank so hard that two of his squeakers came out and his head and body just about parted ways. It was time to perform surgery to put Hank back together again. In the meantime, while not throwing a ball, or walking the dog, I have done a little stitching on Frank:.

The Cozy Quilter: January 2015

Saturday, January 31, 2015. Embroidery and Hand Quilting. This week, I added the last of the embroidery stitches to my wool applique project from a workshop a year ago. Those are French knots in the bottom circle and the top green part. I dug through my batik stash and found some fabric with green leaves on an orange background that was just calling out to be a border around this project! The colour in the first picture is truer to how it really looks. Happy Slow Stitching Sunday! Links to this post.

The Cozy Quilter: Slow Stitching with Frank
http://thecozyquilter.blogspot.com/2015/07/slow-stitching-with-frank.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. Slow Stitching with Frank. I showed my next hand stitching project- a cross stitch picture based on the Tree of Life stained glass window by Frank Lloyd Wright. . Confession: I did not get much slow stitching done this past week. I organized my thread and then spent a few days looking for my embroidery hoop so I could do some stitching.I finally found the hoop today and started stitching! He is always up for a game of ball. Labels: counted cross stitch. July 26, 2015 at 6:25 AM.

The Cozy Quilter: February 2015
http://thecozyquilter.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. Wool Applique Project done! Tonight was the February meeting of the Elgin Piecemakers Quilt Guild. I worked hard all week to finish my wool applique project so that I could bring it to the meeting for show and tell. Ta Da! Here it is. I tried to position the light so the texture of my hand quilting would show up in this picture. Quilting with black thread on black material is hard, but not impossible as long as I have good lighting and my reading glasses on. Links to this post.

Sunday, September 23, 2012. Five Quilts with Meaning. A close up the baby quilt! A baby quilt using Out to Sea fabric. I've had the pleasure of handing these quilts over to their recipients, and it has been the best feeling! The signature quilt for the bride-to-be. Three quilts made for three children who lost their dad to cancer. The rag quilt I made for the little girl, using her dad's clothes. A bright and cheery quilt for a happy occasion. http://julieantinucci.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-new-favorite-thing.html
Sunday, September 6, 2009. My New "Favorite Thing". SO, as a quilter, I have a lot of scrap fabric hanging around. You know what I mean, if you sew as well. What do you do with all of that fabric? Sure, you can make 50 million scrap quilts and drive yourself nuts! Or maybe you can try this idea. I've been transferring a lot of my stuff (ie, my flickr page. And my etsy page. To show my new logo:. Posted by Julie Antinucci. What a great idea. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Handmade Goods on Flickr!

Creative Mines by Julie Antinucci: If You Could Have a Servant in Your Studio/Craftroom...
http://julieantinucci.blogspot.com/2009/11/if-you-could-have-servant-in-your.html
Sunday, November 15, 2009. If You Could Have a Servant in Your Studio/Craftroom. I've been frantically and furiously sewing and cutting and sewing and cutting for the last few weeks trying to manage an online quilt business and, at the same time, create some handmade gifts for some of my family members. I barely have enough time to come up for air, much less wind more thread on my bobbins. So, this got me to thinkin. What would my servant(s) do? First of all, I would have a "bobbin bitch.". To make it ea...

Creative Mines by Julie Antinucci: January Stash Buster!
http://julieantinucci.blogspot.com/2010/01/january-stash-buster.html
Monday, January 25, 2010. Stash Buster may sounds like a new movie in which moustaches are being wiped off the planet, but if you sew you know that it means going through a lot of fabric in your "stash" and using it in a quilt or other item. I've complied a large-ish stash of Kaffe Fassett fabric and have been dying to use it, so before the year got too busy I dove into it.or cut, rather! If you busted into your stash today, what would be your fabrics? Maybe some red, white and black? What a great idea!

Creative Mines by Julie Antinucci: New Product in My Etsy Store: Diaper and Wipe Pouch
http://julieantinucci.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-product-in-my-etsy-store-diaper-and.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. New Product in My Etsy Store: Diaper and Wipe Pouch. So, my rag quilts for babies have sold really well. But it led me to the question: What would be the perfect pairing with that rag quilt for a baby shower? How about a diaper and wipe pouch to keep together those diapers and wipes in the diaper bag.once and for all! They seal with velcro but they look like they seal with a button. You get all of the cuteness of a button with all that .hard work! Posted by Julie Antinucci.
