The Loop Project was set up in 2009 as a response to the challenges we saw posed by three big issues of our time – environment, energy and economy. The aim was to make best use of the skills we currently had, in ways that would have a positive impact relating to these issues. Our current main areas of work are:.

Sulphite-free and unpasteurised bottle conditioned and draught ciders. Woodfired pizza creators using traditional methods and locally sourced ingredients. Slow fermented wheat and rye sourdough breads made in Llanidloes. Real Ale and Cider Bar. Welsh Fermentation Festival 26th – 27th August, 2017.

Modern farming favours production of a very small range of grains, which have been selected and developed on the basis of their low cost, high yield and high gluten content. However these attributes have been chosen at the expense of flavour and sometimes nutritional content.
