Tim is rescuing her after the neighbours garage roof was blown into our back yard during a big storm last year. The only thing I like about chickens is how they taste. =). I know, I'm bad. Nagy bought us a new fridge last week . . . decided we should buy one before the old one gives out as we have had it since we got married which is about 17 1/2 years! The space for the fridge in our house doesn't allow for a double door fridge, but I am happy with my "ice maker" even though it is manual! Wish my freezer looked like yours! What is a manual icemaker?

This week's recipe is another I've had around for years. It's simple and one of my favorite comfort foods. 1 onion, chopped. 1 1/2 cups chicken broth. 1 cup frozen peas. 1 cup frozen carrots. 2 cups chicken, cooked and shredded. 2 1/2 tsp baking powder. Preheat oven to 450. Grease a 2 quart baking dish. Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes. Monday, August 29, 2011.

An empty nester, at times anyway! Sunday, June 29, 2008. MY HARD WORKING MAN! We're finally getting a new porch ceiling! Our roof leaked during the hurricanes of 2004 and the drywall has been slowly falling down ever since! Our roof was replaced 2 years ago, but Gene just never found the time to tackle the ceiling.until now! Getting started. Cutting through the drywall to tear it down. I think he's happy it's coming down too! It's all down. What a mess! Now we have to get rid of all these drywall pieces!
