Flute lessons in Greensborough, Melbourne. Personal Training For Musicians. How to learn really difficult music. December 22, 2014. When I was in high school, I thought the most difficult piece of flute music in the world was. By Jolivet. I played snippets of it here and there, but had not learnt, nor even dared try to play, the whole thing. By the time I started university, I still believed. At some point while learning this piece, I had a breakthrough. [Read more…]. Filed Under: Flute Practise. The pro...

Flute lessons in Greensborough, Melbourne. Personal Training For Musicians. My main instrument is flute, and I teach all levels of flute and piccolo. For small students, I recommend starting on the recorder or fife as these are much lighter and easier instruments to handle. The weight and awkward position of the keys on the flute can cause problems if started too early. Powerlifting Comp 16/2/14 | Anna's training adventures
https://trainingadventures.wordpress.com/2014/02/17/powerlifting-comp-16214
Anna's training adventures. Some of the stupid things I do). Yesterday was the first powerlifting comp of the year. I realised I wouldn’t make nationals this year as it is not based on qualification this time, but is invite only in order to have fewer competitors and get it done with quicker. So I decided I should do the February comp to see where I’m at. When it came time to warm up for deadlift, my belt fit fine without the suit, but once my suit was up I just couldn’t do it up! So my average training ...

Ada Valley | Anna's training adventures
https://trainingadventures.wordpress.com/2014/03/08/ada-valley
Anna's training adventures. Some of the stupid things I do). Yesterday I went for a wander around Ada Valley, which is in between Warburton and Powelltown. It’s a decent drive along some rough gravel roads from Warburton along Smyth Creek Rd that’s fun to test your car’s handling. Click any pic to enlarge. From there you head north. As I got closer to the road, I heard a big logging truck slowly make its way around the corners. Then I passed a couple of these signs:. And when I spotted some machinery aro...

Mt Juliet | Anna's training adventures
https://trainingadventures.wordpress.com/2014/09/04/mt-juliet
Anna's training adventures. Some of the stupid things I do). 5ish months pregnant, and I thought I had one more mountain in me for the year. I thought I’d do something with a well defined track, something that didn’t involve bush bashing, and something relatively short. So last week I had a day free and I thought Mt Juliet would fit the requirements. If you’re reading this and you’ve done Mt Juliet, I can hear you laughing. Sometimes the path was just a bunch of fallen down trees and slippery bark. How t...

Anna's training adventures. Some of the stupid things I do). I ran quite well in 2008. Then I did too many ultras which made me slower. Then I got injured but was in denial so kept running til I could no longer. In an attempt to fix things I’ve started entering other things with a focus on powerlifting. One day I hope to be actively powerlifting and ultra running. Yes, I realise they are opposite sports. 8211; Raw IPF Powerlifting Comp. 8211; Raw IPF Powerlifting Comp. 8211; The Kettlebell Garage Comp.

Anna's training adventures. Some of the stupid things I do). Part of my work involves helping people seek joy and happiness in their lives. I got featured on Tiny Buddha today with an article on this. You can read it here. This entry was posted in General Health. February 11, 2014. Donnolley’s Weir – Mt St Leonard. When I arrived at Donnolley’s Weir, it was 18 C and raining. I slapped on some sunscreen anyway, and started walking. There is really only one way to go, and that is up. Nearly at the top!

https://trainingadventures.wordpress.com/2014/08/16/lerderderg-southern-gorge-walk
Anna's training adventures. Some of the stupid things I do). Lerderderg – Southern Gorge Walk. It’s been a while since I’ve done a new route, but I found someone who likes doing silly things, and who also happens to take most of Fridays off for silly things. So we started at Mackenzies Picnic area. It was pretty enough, and after 5 seconds we came to the first river crossing, with nice stepping stones laid out so we didn’t get our tootsies wet. This was a steep steep hill! View down Link No 2. We found w...

Walking Blitz | Anna's training adventures
https://trainingadventures.wordpress.com/2014/07/04/walking-blitz
Anna's training adventures. Some of the stupid things I do). It’s been a long time since the last post so although I’ve been getting out there for a few trails here and there, I haven’t explored any new trails and haven’t even been doing anything crazy lately. So I’ve just been running a bit, and doing the usual trails. This week was Kinglake – Sugarloaf/Mason’s Falls circuit and also up Glasgow Track, Mt D. Up a hill, and I realised it will be a long time before I attempt running that route again. You a...
