toujours delish: Poached Eggs and Salmon
http://toujoursdelish.blogspot.com/2011/02/poached-eggs-and-salmon.html
Friday, February 25, 2011. Poached Eggs and Salmon. Let's say you go through a period of time where certain food are off-limits. What would you crave? I missed runny egg yolks and smoked salmon like you wouldn't believe and spent the second half of my gestation imagining the day when I would learn how to poach on egg so that I could combine two of my favorite foods in a delectable, rich salad, with the orange yolk breaking just so over the pile of lettuce leaves and salmon. http://toujoursdelish.blogspot.com/2010/04/cassoulet-love.html
Friday, April 30, 2010. Once you've made Mark Bittman's cassoulet. A few times, it becomes, like all of my favorite recipes, something of a kitchen sink recipe. Have a few Brussels sprouts that need some love? Kidney beans instead of cannelinis? Bacon instead of bone in chicken? Posted by Toujours Delish. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Toffee Crunch Caramel Cheesecake | The A to B of Cooking
https://abcooking.wordpress.com/2012/11/19/toffee-crunch-caramel-cheesecake
The A to B of Cooking. Toffee Crunch Caramel Cheesecake. Alice’s dessert was so beautifully light, fresh and delicious. This dessert is not light or fresh but is deliciousand rich and decadent. As we are heading into our Thanksgiving week here in the US, it’s a time to indulge in all those rich, decadent foods that you steer clear of the rest of the year. You will need a spring form pan for this. They can be found at most house ware stores. I got mine at Target. Pat the crust mixture into the bottom of t...

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. July 2013 – A Look Back. July 31, 2013. It’s the last day of July and cicadas are beginning their afternoon buzz outside my window. All I can think is, where has my summer gone? Instead I’m going to share these pictures of a family filled Fourth of July weekend. I know, I’m lapsed in sharing them but, oh well. We grilled! We went to George’s Island! Also, this cake. Remember in my last post where I said I was making a crazy train cake? June 11, 2013.

toujours delish: And Now - A Mound of Carrots
http://toujoursdelish.blogspot.com/2010/08/and-now-mound-of-carrots.html
Tuesday, November 9, 2010. And Now - A Mound of Carrots. Let's say just the day before, you've worked your way through three pounds of zucchini by pureeing them into a soup. And now imagine you have an equivalent amount of carrots. The last thing in the world you want is another baby food-style mushy soup (even if it will be delicious - it's a lot of pureed vegetables for a grownup to handle). So you turn to the second, and arguably more fun, thing to do with your excess of vegetables. 1 1/2 cups butter.
